Would like opinions on wireless charging (don't see the real benefit) or face recognition (same). Hence don't see that these are vital to sales.
Big items are the Watch (with cellular) and Apple Pay (with peer to peer payments)

Would like opinions on wireless charging (don't see the real benefit) In previous years, where people said it was a negative that iPhones didn't yet have it, I didn't see it as a big deal. But paying attention the last year, I see some good reasoning. I always have my iPhone in my pocket, in a case that doesn't cover up the ports. My lightning port slowly fills up with gunk, and really fills up quick if I'm out moving dirt/rocks, or using the chainsaws. My wife's fills up with gunk too, but maybe at a third of the speed. It's not a huge thing, but cleaning it out does take some work with a toothpick or knife or something. On the other side, even when working it still takes a little time to plug it in. What, 5 seconds per time. Nothing major. And, after 3 years, we first had some of the pins get gunk on them, and eventually the cable mostly failed. Both are relatively minor for a device that gets daily use. But some wireless chargers are now cheap, so I don't see a lot of negatives. OTOH, this can be a move towards having no ports. Bluetooth for headphones, wireless charging, and wifi syncing. Maybe getting rid of the ports entirely doesn't save much space/cost/weight, and so maybe it never happens. OTOH, maybe it's good enough, and so you have the ports covered up most of the time, and only open them up when you really do need a quicker charge or file transfer. (Go AAPL, nice move up. I could still see a tick down, and volume isn't that huge yet, but that could have been it for now)

I don’t see much of difference between laying the phone on a charging pad and plugging it into the port directly. But if others are enticed into buying an iPhone because of it, I’m all for it.
