Apple Is ‘Not Just Another Tech Company’ sums up the way I believe most of us feel as we peruse the daily Apple news headlines. Apple is not perfect, by any means, but there is no question that they are held to a different standard. It's annoying, but I am glad that they aim high, even if it means that they "fail" once in a while.

Btw, Apple will hit 1 Trillion at $194.84. That's with basic shares, using 5,149,428,xxx shares that Apple lists on their calculation for 3 month data ending in Sept. 2017. www.apple.com/newsroom/pdfs/fy17-q4/Q4FY17ConsolidatedFinancialStatements.pdfIf you use diluted shares, of 5,183,585,xxx, you get the $192.92 I listed back at earnings. Just call it $193! What's strange to me is that Apple said they use a different amount of shares to calculate the 12-month values, but that must just be so they don't have to recalculate everything, every time they do a buyback. Nice bump up today Apple....just when I was considering (but probably wouldn't) buying another chunk of shares. I still think things look possible/probable to see 170 again in the next 2 months, but we might get some nice rides in before then. And if it is held back, things could let loose after Jan expirations and Jan earnings.

Now this doesn't sound like Google! (Do no evil?) qz.com/1131515/google-collects-android-users-locations-even-when-location-services-are-disabled/"Many people realize that smartphones track their locations. But what if you actively turn off location services, haven’t used any apps, and haven’t even inserted a carrier SIM card? Even if you take all of those precautions, phones running Android software gather data about your location and send it back to Google when they’re connected to the internet, a Quartz investigation has revealed."

Thanks for posting the link. My wife and I first noticed the building from Lowe's parking lot, which is across the street, and thought it was pretty slick looking but were unaware it was the new Apple Sunnyvale Campus building.

Not even a blip on the radar when Google does evil.
