Apples HomePod ordering process has yet to go live. A tweet my wife saw from a guy in Australia said it would go live at 9:00 Eastern time. I'm expecting a bit of a firestorm given that Apple still hasn't released an official time afaik and wonder how many stayed up fruitlessly until 3:00 Eastern. We'll see how the day goes.

Just bought a white HomePod. Delivers 2-9. Guess the Australian's time was inaccurate.

Space Gray HomePod ordered directly from the Apple Store, using Apple Pay, and will deliver on the 9th.

I haven't seen much of any talk here about the battery issue as if it's a non factor going forward. I was going to upgrade my iPhone 6 but now I'm going to wait until at least September because I'm going to change out the battery. In talking on the phone to the Apple rep I was told they are inundated with requests for new batteries. He checked my battery while on the phone and said I would then get an email saying that a battery would be shipped out to my nearest store. That took a week. The email said that the battery would arrive at the store within two weeks (still waiting)and once it arrived I had 7 days to go to the store and get it replaced. Obviously there's a big backlog.
With all the pending lawsuits and loss of sales from battery replacements what are people's thoughts on guidance (and share price) going forward?

I did bring it up but was chided for being my usual negative self. Critical thought is not encouraged here. AAPL to $300 this year and $500 next year.

I have a reminder set to have my iPhone7 battery replaced in November. I figured nurse the one I have as long as possible and replace it before the December 31 deadline approaches. I have no issues at all with "slowness" or battery life. May as well get the $29 battery and have the phone last a couple more years after that.

Ordered HomePod at 11:15EST, still shows delivery on Feb 9. Some sad news: Mrs. Rez (Michelle Boullianne Beale) still in hospice care on day 9 in a coma. She will pass on soon after a 12 year battle with brain cancer. She would not want anyone to be sad, but follow her example of optimism and strength in everything you do. Her book entitled “West By Sea” (link: amzn.to/2E4psOo) is a tribute to her fighting spirit, and I recommend it to you in her memory. Memorial will be in New London, CT on Feb 3rd and I can PM details if anyone is interested. No flowers or gifts; my brother did a GoFundMe to divert any such gestures to benefit her legacy work for Brain Cancer charities. She enjoyed both of the AFB meet ups in Las Vegas.

Your negativity and critical thinking are appreciated here - though they're certainly easier to disregard in a major uptrend like the last six months. All POVs are welcome. The mad dash for battery replacements at this great price is interesting in many ways, and not all negative. Discuss. [Discerning customers taking advantage of a sale on tune-ups shows an appreciation of the value of their present iPhones; speaks to loyalty, product awareness, opportunistic value purchasing, etc.]
