Looks like we're riding Uncle Warren's coat tails. Fine by me. Up about $4 as of now.

Nice recovery ... thanks Warren !!!
I think the next big leg up for Apple will be when they announce a larger than usual dividend raise after next quarter's earnings. From Tim and Luca's words during the CC I'm expecting something more than the average raise .... no special dividend but a large enough raise to the regular dividend to actually move the stock.
Cheers to the longs ....

Up $2.47 right now to $171.83. Whee. Also: appleinsider.com/articles/18/02/15/an-incredible-money-making-machine-apples-iphone-captures-record-51-of-global-smartphone-revenues"For the first time ever, Apple's iPhone captured more than half of all global smartphone revenues in a single quarter, outperforming the rest of the industry on the strength of the premium-priced iPhone X. Market tracking firm Strategy Analytics on Thursday issued its latest estimates on the smartphone space, finding that the global market hit an all-time high of $120 billion in the fourth quarter of 2017. Leading the way was Apple, which captured a record 51 percent global smartphone revenue share.
"Apple iPhone's average selling price is approaching $800 and almost three times higher than the overall industry average," Strategy Analytics Executive Director Neil Mawston said. "Apple iPhone is an incredible money-making machine."

Crazy couple of weeks. My AAPL shares crested 1M for the first time today. I’m excited for dividend raise in April. I’d love to see 20% bump per year for as long as it takes to hit a 3% +/- yield. Congrats, longs!

Exactly. Now we're talking revenue; not profit (Apple's share of worldwide smartphone -profits- has typically been in the 90%'s)

Sorry if this was already posted/discussed. What do you think of this scenario? I found it interesting. seekingalpha.com/article/4143424-apple-returning-750-billion-shareholders?page=2I would enjoy a worksheet along these lines that I could play around with. I would like to model 3% rather than "6.9% annual growth in net income", and a few other (even) more conservative assumptions. Such as 20% increase in dividends this year and 15% thereafter rather than "Implementing the 50% increase this year and 15% over the time horizon"

The stock market is so dumb sometimes. Anyone who still believes in efficient market theory is crazy. It's efficient except when it isn't. I emailed Investor Relations with my $.02 regarding implementing Net Cash Neutral Strategies a couple days ago. Now's the time to input your best ideas - It can't hurt.

The idea of being around $500/share and $11/share annual dividend in another 8 years...
(thinking).
I'll take it.
