Nice recovery from the pre-market and open so far. Feeling much better about BTFD on the way down. For those that want to read an article that might make them want to bang their head against a wall, CNBC has a good one. Apple’s massive bond portfolio makes it a ‘screaming sell,’ says market watcherI'm not sure who this guy is, but CNBC really seems to be scraping the bottom of the barrel just to get some bears on tv. ugh.

I know it's been posted a few times over the past 9 months, but if you have the time and haven't read it yet, you should read the Wired article on Apple's new campus Personally, I really liked Apple's current campus, though I know it's tough with so many off-campus buildings. At the same time, I personally think Apple went a little too crazy with the new one. From just the logistics standpoint, do you keep a stockpile of every custom made thing around (say, a toilet). I'm sure it will be great. It's just not what I would do, or what most would do. But that's kind of the point. I don't imagine Apple will ever give tours, just like they didn't (for the most part) of the old campus. But I bet a AR/VR tour sometime in the future could get a lot of people excited.

The article is very optimistic and encouraging for investors to continue being long AAPL. However, there's one thing in it that Wall Street will choose to not believe in. That is the author's prediction of Apple's continuous (reasonable for us) 6.9% YoY growth till 2026. Wall Street likes to believe that Apple WILL slow down and if it isn't, it has to prove itself quarter after quarter every year. It's like you're proven guilty every quarter until you can prove yourself innocent. But yes, a dividend hike to $1 with a 15% annual raise along with an accelerated buyback of 10% of the company in 2018 will surely create a solid and positive impact on Apple and AAPL.

I don’t think continuous growth is reasonable, as the past few years have shown. The business model isn’t structured that way. There will be ups and downs in both growth and stock price going forward, I think. This will give Apple the opportunity to execute buybacks opportunistically.

Not bad. AAPL showed an upward trend today although monthly OpEx must've dragged it down to close below the 172.5 strike.
Next week should be fine, unless, of course... shyte happens!

Couldn't agree more and probably should have included the disclaimer that ended my note to them. "Until proven otherwise". Personally, I'm thinking they can do a bit better than that but we're on uncharted ground here. They don't speak to how many active customers they currently have but they do say they have 1.3 billion active devices. The size of the customer base they have is unprecedented and it's difficult to predict how it may be relied upon going forward but Apples ability to design and fabricate extensions to it's ecosystem is pretty well proven at this point. At least to me.

What would you like to know Chinacat about Apple Park? Really, just about anything, for example: Compared to the view from the drone flyovers, how does the scale of, e.g., the "Spaceship" strike one in person? Do the underground parking garages appear to be in use? I'm assuming the meeting was in the Visitor Center; what are your impressions of it? What percentage complete would you estimate the site to be? Obviously, the plantings will continue to grow, but other than that, what remains to be finished? Any other observations or things that were different than you expected would be welcomed. On behalf of those of us who will likely not be getting there any time soon, any other impressions from you or any other AFBers who attended would be of interest. Thank you for your consideration.

On behalf of those of us who will likely not be getting there any time soon, any other impressions from you or any other AFBers who attended would be of interest. Thank you for your consideration. Happy to: It is my second time to Cupertino. The first time was last May when I spent a few days checking out many of apple’s buildings in Cupertino. The first time you see it, the sheer scale of the campus takes your breath away. It is truly enormous. A mile around. Walked on the sidewalk on Wednesday which allows you to walk around 3/4’s of the campus. It’s a long way. The main building sits on 162 acres I think. The total is 175 when you include the research centres across the road and the visitors centre. The visitor’s centre has a three level parking garage under it. It has quite a few ⚡️ charging stations. Guessing it holds 600-700 cars. There is a single parking level under the spaceship that holds 3000 cars. The two separate parking garages hold 6000 cars. The research centres also have parking underground as well as a multi- level garage. Currently there is still work being done on the interior of the spaceship. They have white paper over the windows on those sections. The building is ultimately going to hold 12,000 people. Currently 3,000 have moved in. There are thousands of bikes of various sizes for employees to used. There are two miles of trails. To answer your question, there is lots of activity in the parking garages as the are still hundreds of workers onsite plus employees The AGM was in SJ theatre and its amazing. The visitors centre consists of a cafe, Apple Store, AR campus tour and a rooftop deck. Phenomenal. I would estimate, from my discussion with an Apple employee, that it won’t be full until The summer. Quite a bit of work to do inside yet. The research buildings are completed and fully occupied. The centre of the Spaceship is complete. Plum, Apple, apricot and Olive trees. The reflecting pond is only about a foot deep. I highly recommend everyone do a pilgrimage!
