I wouldn’t expect any selling pressure until $1T. And I would buy buy buy then.

AppleInsider has UBS ups AAPL price target to $210 on increased iPhone X purchase intentions. The most interesting part for me was the included graphs, two showing the model mix of anticipated purchases and one showing the relative importance of specific features for the intent to purchase. Surprising, to me at least, is that although percentage of X purchases is predicted to rise, particularly in China, Japan and the US, Face ID ranks almost last on the priority curve, and OLED ranks only a little higher; battery life is #1, even above price.

The measure app in iOS12 is quite cool. I can envision quite a few useful things to do with that.

I wouldn’t expect any selling pressure until $1T. And I would buy buy buy then. I guess I don't understand this statement. Most of the time one might plan to buy buy buy at a higher price than the current one, it would be to get over a hurdle like some expected selling pressure. I went ahead and sold the 12% of my shares in my Roth, at $192.30. This month, with or without WWDC, is often flat or down for AAPL. I'll likely rebuy in the next days or weeks, at a lower price. While I don't normally try to trade the potential share movement, the dramatic drop in volume over the past couple weeks just makes me feel the share price is more likely to drop a few percent sometime soonish. Nice that we can watch the WWDC keynote. Sounds like some good improvements across a wide set of products.

AAPL rose until the start of WWDC, then fell after. One could surmise that The Market was unimpressed by what they heard, but in my memory: a) this is pretty typical AAPL behavior and b) it often takes some time for the full impact of the many things announced to be fully appreciated. Certainly, there was a lot to absorb today.

Marketwatch has a chart showing the AAPL gains around WWDC for the past 10 years. Basically, it has always gone down on the 1st day of WWDC (Just broke out of that trend!), nearly always goes down the next day also, and also averages being down a month later. In general, I believe WWDC's before this were also a little peak-ish, with June relatively flat-ish. Like you said, WWDC is normally about long-term general plans, which is different than the shorter term HW surprises some people hope Apple will announce at WWDC, but doesn't (occasionally HW is announced, but it normally fits in with the SW plans). Due to this, I'm expecting there's a decent chance that AAPL will go down a little in the next days to weeks. It might not happen. OTOH, I'll have to re-watch some of the Keynote, but the parts that I saw seemed good. By adding features to the various OS's on an annual basis, Apple is able to make some good progress.
