Hopefully we'll get Artman gainfully employed again shortly...

The only headwind I see at this point would be tariffs and trade war escalation with China ....... other than that I'm very optimistic.
Cheers to the longs.

Disappointing day so far. Did I miss something? Profit taking started Sept 7. MACD turned negative. RSI keeps slowly deflating.

Hmmm, I seem to remember stories from a year ago...something about the iPhone X disappointing sales...but surely a survey of social media posts is a much more reliable predictor...

Hmmm, I seem to remember stories from a year ago...something about the iPhone X disappointing sales...but surely a survey of social media posts is a much more reliable predictor... I think the survey is accurate, but does not reflect the popularity of the Xr. The Xs is a good upgrade for the 6S and 7 folks. Given the limited improvement in the 12 Bionic processor in overall speed over the 11, the 8 for a lower price is also a great reason the upgrade. So overall by the time we get to Dec 31, Apple will sell plenty of iPhones. We will get a good hint of that when we get guidance in Oct. The market correction that is coming will have little to do with the iPhone Xs, sure it may contribute about an extra 5% correction, but it will be short lived. A second event along with massive wait times for the Xr around Oct. 22 will see our fruit take off again.

I agree sponge. Part of this is just that the stock is on fire this year. Expect a period of hair trigger small moves. However feel the gravational pull of holiday season, cont. buybacks etc. will drag us toward 250+. By Jan. Suspect the midterm rep. losses if they occur will provide another brief market correction as will the Mueller report. Still think fundamentals will win out in next 6 months.
After that I’m worried. Though can’t really think of a safer place to pt an investment.

And there we go ....... sheesh ..... orange moron strikes again. Apple is up 120% since Trump took office. And our realized revenues will DOUBLE now that Apple doesn't have to pay 35% on foreign (after-tax) profits, despite Tim Cook and Steve Jobs begging Obama for tax reform for 8 years, and Obama said to go pound sand. How on earth could you possibly argue that Obama's policies were better for us as investors? Sorry, but AAPL can't go up and set ATH's every single day. But I believe in the long run - something I thought we were all here for - getting tougher on China's trade shenanigans will be good for the investor class and America in general. But, of course, no matter what happens, some haters will never ever give the current president credit. But, as Ronald Reagan once said, you can get a lot done if you don't care who gets the credit.
Some good news:
Apple is the most popular stock among millennials after its big iPhone event (AAPL)

[/quote] Absolutely true. The haters will never admit that he turned the economy around the day he was elected. He’s a brilliant businessman. Very brilliant. And don’t forget the current president has figured out how to pay off the national debt in 10 years: Just print 20 billion extra $100 bills every year and buy back all those pesky treasury bills. The man’s a stable genius, I tell you. Very stable. Ask him. And JD.

Saying things like gtrplyr said "orange moron strikes again" and "Unstable" is not productive because its offensive to others views You could have stated your concerns in a more amicable way. Lets look at the some unstable actions in very recent history. The unprecedented firings and resignations of top FBI/DOJ officials for their conspiracy to undermine a US presidential campaign and duly elected president. A US senator from NJ likened himself to Spartacus because he broke senate rules. A US senator from CA sent a anonymous letter, in her possession for months, to the FBI for investigation about Kavanaugh committing a crime in high school. Party leaders demand Kavanaugh resign based on a fake decades old allegation from HIGH SCHOOL yet stay silent on Keith Ellison, deputy DNC chair and congressman, who beat his girlfriend with hard evidence of 911 calls to prove it. A daughter of a former president candidate says it would be un-christian to protect babies from abortion. CNN posted a report saying Trumps’s policies could lead to 80000 unnecessary deaths every decade. Wash Post prints a story blaming President trump for the hurricane. A former Sec State who actively is undermining US policy by talking to the Iranians. A political never-trump movie maker says that Trump is america’s last president because he thinks the President is leading us to dictatorship. NYTimes publishes a completely false headline about UN ambassador Nikki Haley’s $52000 curtains, then buried deep in the story mentions they were purchased under Obama. After dismissing potential bias as a conspiracy on their network, CNN doesn't cover the leaked google tape. A Senate Candidate from AZ fought to protect criminals caught with child prostitutes. A MSNBC terrorism analyst says pro-trump veterans are not honorable. I could go on and on. Surely the alleged allegations of the Presidents unstable actions in the Woodward book, which have been broadcast extensibly on leftist msm and definitely taken to heart by the left, are suspect. And last even the weather channel is unstable. A reporter of hurricane florence was seen bracing himself from the wind stream live while casual strollers walked by in the background unhindered. I'm sitting debating whether I should click create post, to the board. Hell why not!
