The article in MarketWatch about a decline in Apple is good. Apple is not leading the way it once was.

The article in MarketWatch about a decline in Apple is good. Apple is not leading the way it once was. Oh, please! These articles have been floated as long as I have been investing in Apple. 1. Apple's market is saturated. iPhone is still the aspirational mobile phone, and will continue to deliver the majority of profits in that space. 2. Apple has stopped trying to be the best. Again, iPhones are still the aspirational device for the vast majority of users. Does anyone else have anything close to the iPad offerings?
3. Apple has an identity crisis. Apple gets criticized for being too iPhone dependent, then gets criticized for for exploring new product areas. 4. Apple keeps missing the boat on innovation. Yet somehow they still have the aspirational products in several categories.
5. Apple has fallen behind. Apple was not the first mobile phone company, yet that has worked out pretty well. I suspect the same will be true for 5G.
6. Apple quality isn't what it was. "products were shipped only when perfect" Certainly the MacBook keyboard situation has been an embarrassment, but I'll compare Apple's quality record with anyone's.
7. Apple has a growing trust problem Name the tech company that is more trusted..Facebook? Google? Microsoft?

Thanks, chinacat, you beat me to it - I was writing the same post...
I’d just add this. Name any company that has innovated on anything recently. Go on. Alexa? Meh. Beating Apple to 5G means nothing when the market is still nascent and the tech won’t be in place at scale for a couple more years. Apple will be right on time. Remember when Android had the first 4G phones? Their battery life was five hours and you could cook an egg on them during use.
Everything else in the article was 💩 imo. Happy Monday.

Off topic, but...
...in case you have not yet heard, there is a massive fire at Notre Dame de Paris. It was certainly one of the great joys of our honeymoon trip to Europe, and besides the building itself, it housed much priceless art. Horrific.
