TSLA up 56% year to date. AAPL up 35% year to date If I owned TSLA stock, I wouldn't get too excited by those YTD percentages. TSLA's ATH was $407.97 on 11/04/21 AAPL's ATH was $182.01 on 01/03/22 TSLA's share price dropped *much* further from its ATH than AAPL's...and is currently not even at 50% of its ATH. At the current share price of $200.00, with the market still open...it's at *48.8% of its ATH*...-51.2% below its ATH. AAPL, OTOH, at the current share price of $177.57...is at *97.6% of its ATH*..-2.4% below its ATH.

But for a long term investor, it is important to see that the Apple way is not the only way. Comparing the stock performance, AAPL is ahead of TSLA on the 1 and 2 year charts. But on the 3, 5 and 10 year charts, along with the maximum (TSLA has been public for about 13 years), TSLA has the lead. And not just by a little. yahoo finance chart with an ugly URLIf I was jumping into a time machine and going back a few years or more, I don't think my preference for AAPL would overshadow a 3x to 6.5x potential increase in performance if I picked TSLA. I personally think TSLA is overvalued and won't be able to hold its mismatched market cap compared to it's car market percentage. But if I had made much more on TSLA than AAPL over the recent years, I wouldn't worry too much about TSLA being slower to recover to its ATH (though wondering if it would ever get there, and what the long term potential is going forward).

Here's a review from Tech Gear Lab on bluetooth trackers. I didn't realize there were so many. www.techgearlab.com/topics/cool-gadgets/best-bluetooth-trackerFor those that have used them or remember all of the details, what's the timeframe on the anti-stalking feature? We already use the "Find my iPhone" feature on each of our iPhones, not as a constant tracking type thing but it does come in handy to see where someone is instead of texting or calling them while driving, where they shouldn't answer but if they did they could be distracted. It makes sense to me to hide an Apple Air Tag in each car, as a backup but also as cheap insurance if a car was to be stolen. But for that to work, I wouldn't want it to be trivial to find or turn off, especially in the first 24 hours. Does anyone know how quickly someone gets notified about a tracker that might be stalking them? Thanks

We've been doing this for years. It's very comforting to see every family member on the map somewhere. And as you mentioned, it makes it a lot easier to figure out when someone is arriving without interrupting their driving focus. One issue with this is that only the phone attached to that airtag can see location. I would prefer for everyone in my "family group" to see it. Maybe they updated/will update the software to do it? This would also stop each family member (except the one connected to that airtag) that is using the car from constantly being notified that they are being stalked. I think it was reduced from a few hours to 15 minutes in a recent update. But I only see conflicting information, so not sure.

I should receive these tomorrow. They support Find My app, but not Precision Find as they don't have UWB ultra-wideband. $17. thin wallet and $14. tag. Looks like the slim one has the problem of a non-replaceable battery. But such is life to get it that slim, and 3 years is pretty good. We have an Eufy automatic vacuum that my wife had heard recommendations for. I didn't know that they were related to Anker, which I think we have a charging pad from. Let us know if there are any downsides once you've used them for a bit. I've gotten in the habit of putting my wallet and keys in a certain spot, so I don't lose them. OTOH, we had to search a little for the checkbook today for an appointment to get braces, and there are plenty of other things that we occasionally misplace. And with fancy smart keys now around $500 to replace (instead of the nice old cut keys for $3), there's all sorts of things to attach a tracker to.

1st impressions are very good. Very easy to add devices to Find My app. Find My does locate the devices. No Precision Find, which I knew about. Downloaded eufy security app on my Mac. (Used Safari to create a secure password). Downloaded the iPhone app, and signed in using my account credentials. Followed the straight forward instructions to pair the trackers to the app, using bluetooth. There were firmware updates for both. Indicated a 10 minute process but took about 2. The update seems to have added False Press Detection. I'm not allowing tracking except "While using" the app. (I doubt I'll use the app on a regular basis. It does seem to have a Family Sharing feature, if I wanted to have family members download the app, which I doubt I will. I hope Apple will address this in a Find My update, allowing family sharing of AirTags.) At $14. for the tag (no case needed) and $17. for the card, it seems to be worth trying. I don't know if these prices will continue or if they're interdictory. I'll update in a few weeks. PS: The card seems to have a bit of flex. It's extremely lite. I may try double-side taping it to a ski.
