Another vector of Apple integration:
The upcoming Apple TV+ show "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters," based on Legendary's Monsterverse franchise, is reportedly being shot in 3D format to support Apple's Vision Pro headset. If true, it would be the first confirmed TV+ show to support the 3D video-viewing capabilities of the headset, which offers a wide virtual screen environment and spatial audio. MacRumors reports: According to ScreenTimes' Sigmund Judge, the live-action Godzilla and Titans TV series that's based on Legendary's Monsterverse franchise has been shooting in a three-dimensional format supported by Apple's newly announced headset, based on conversations with people familiar with its production. [...] Apple announced its order for the Godzilla TV series in January 2022, but has not yet revealed when it will arrive on TV+.
The series takes place after the battle between Godzilla and the Titans leveled San Francisco, and will be produced by Legendary Television with co-creator Chris Black serving as executive producer and showrunner. Black is known for his work on "Star Trek: Enterprise" and "Outcast."

Where is Apple?
Apple is next to Magna (contract auto manufacturer) and Foxconn (ramping as contract manufacture). It may not be an Apple Car, or even a service, but Apple CarPlay+++ may be a key integration in the cars the companies will be producing for others.

This is a story that may apply to this conversation. I’m one of those that dislikes the touchscreens that require you to dig through the layers of displays to find controls that should easily be accessible. A button or knob located within easy reach of the driver always works so much better. There are tons of data connecting distracted driving with automobile accidents and deaths. In the past the responsibility has always fallen on the driver, but at some point the responsibility will be on the auto manufacturers design, not the driver. Apple doesn’t need to be part of this, unless they have a better idea. 8/18/2022 Buttons beat touchscreens in cars, and now there’s data to prove it

I really think the screen in place of buttons is awful ! ! !

I wonder why the auto industry does not use voice to access and present information. It eliminates the need for hierarchical menus and you don't have to take your eyes off the road. I am thinking something like "Hey Siri, what is my arrival time". What is my oil pressure? or why is the check engine light on?
There could be an unprompted warnings, like "25 miles of fuel remaining". All I really need to see is the tach, the turbo boost, and the speed. Avionics has been doing this for years, why not use it in automobiles?
Another item on my wish list is the integration of the entertainment system with OBD-III. Instead of a check engine light. Tell me what is wrong. Is it something serious like "No Oll Pressure" or something that can wait until I stop like "Mass Airflow error"? When I have stopped, let me select "explain this error" and tell me what a Mass air flow sensor does and why it matters. If I want to fix it myself, show me the tools l need and how to do it. If I don't, give me a list of places nearby that can repair it, then help me book an appointment. Maybe I am just a frustrated shade tree mechanic, but I think cars can be demystified.
I am putting this out there in the hopes that someone (looking at you Tim) will take the idea and run with it so I don't have to do it.
