First off, on this national day of memory, let us remember our fellow people that were brutally murdered during an attack on our country on this day 22 years ago. The commemoration ceremony will stream live beginning at 8:40 am today. Why Apple stock's plunge might not be over. It might be over and it might not be over, they're all guessing to some extent. That's because so many things account for stock price changes each day/week/month/year that even the best analysts still have to guess at many of those factors. And on the other hand, some people think that this China brouhaha is a buying opportunity. Apple-China concerns are creating a buying opportunity, says Fundstrat's Tom Lee.Apple Stock: Unfazed Buffett And iPhone 15 Vs. China Concern3 Buys and a bail. Apple is a buy according to this person. But I didn't add this item/link because it was all that compelling (it's not bad, just generic market analysis speak). I added it because the ads that were inserted into the YouTube video for me were absurd, some sort of daily option trading scheme. The only reason they would insert that ad is if it works on enough people to make it worth adding (and online usually knows a lot better how exactly their ads perform).

Thank you Mark for starting off the week with some great links and for remembering the importance of this date in history. It’s was one of those events that we will always remember, where we were and what we were doing when we first heard the news. I welcomed the hopeful stories that the Fed may pause or even reduce the rate hikes, which in itself may help the markets to rally and overcome some of its China fears. This may be a very interesting and volatile week. Everyone should buckle in and keep their arms and hands inside of the car.

Mark, I installed a Safari extension to avoid seeing YouTube ads when watching videos at Youtube.com in Safari on my Mac. See: Vinegar Tube Cleaner. I do lose some video options/features using this extension so I do endure ads in YouTube App on my iPad where I can adjust playback speed to closely watch how something is done.

I welcomed the hopeful stories that the Fed may pause or even reduce the rate hikes, which in itself may help the markets to rally and overcome some of its China fears. This may be a very interesting and volatile week. Everyone should buckle in and keep their arms and hands inside of the car. Well, there are CPI and PPI numbers coming out this week, and while the fed doesn't rely on single data points, they are surely influenced by them. I wonder if CPI continues to remain low (and it may not because the "comps" aren't as good as they were in recent months) if the fed may decide to pause for another month. They also have plenty of data on regional banks and CRE lending that is slowly bubbling up into portions of the economy, and certainly will affect [regional] banking adversely. And since everything of consequence happens on the margins, they may conclude that if 5.5% will damage CRE loans, then 5.75% may damage them even more, and damage them enough to tip things over more dramatically. And with an election year coming, drama is the one of the things they want to avoid if at all possible. I have a minimal ad blocker running, but I don't want to block all ads. The ads often add entertainment value on their own, and sometimes even add insight on their own. For example, in this case, it was some ad about a "daily options trading scheme" using only "five underlying stocks" and "mostly automatic". The fact that the ad exists, and is inserted into relatively high value (AAPL news is one of the most searched items daily since it is a very widely held popular stock and company) content is instructive on its own.

Jan 26 Leaps are out, almost same price as Dec 25, only 28 days difference but different tax year.

Which ones were you trying to pickup? I had orders for multiple strikes, all the ones with at least a little volume (190s, 200s, etc) and a "real" bid. Some only traded one contract all day! None of my orders executed, though admittedly I didn't place the orders until afternoon when I saw the comment here. I will also sell some puts eventually.
