Glad to see we're coming out of the dive we took the previous week.

Wasn't the US Customs and Border Protection supposed to come up with something regarding the design changes Apple made to the Apple Watch on the 12th?
Anyone read anything about this?

Whether this is a hit or a miss it does, in my mind, signify a paradigm shift in personal computing. AI could be very disruptive. Let's hope Apple is on top of this.

Thanks for sharing. I like the idea of it solving problems or difficulties, basically of current smart phones needing so many apps to do things. During our trip to Canada, we already had common apps like AirBNB and maps, but needed apps or accounts for some things like ordering food from a small restaurant, paying for laundry at a dorm, and listening to an audio tour on an island in Thousand Islands. I'm sure there were others too. It seems like there is room there for at least a short term sandbox and generalized accounts, so you don't have to do as much to use and get rid of these things. But we have a remaining $2 credit for the washer/dryer at the dorms in Queensland, if we want to revisit (random fact, Elon and Justine met there). It seems like he was trying to sell 3 things, of speed, AI, and an easy collaborator. Only some of the things seemed especially fast in comparison to Siri, but it seemed good with AI (though I'm not very familiar with what's out there) and did well doing what would otherwise take multiple apps or lots of time. It doesn't seem like there is a hardware moat to these things, so then it comes down to how hard it is to design the software, and how far behind others are in this area, not just on current commercial products but where they are behind the scenes. The HW was interesting, getting rid of a full screen that defines a candy bar form factor. I don't know about the scroll wheel, but I like the idea of a single rotatable camera. I'd be tempted to have it be self leveling like a laser level, so that a flip would change it from user facing to front facing, while not needing another motor. But eliminating some of the extras like multiple cameras helps keep it simple and cheaper. We'll see how it does, especially with an upcoming Easter timeframe. It seems like they need a little more focus instead of saying/hoping they can do everything. But doing a few of those things well would be plenty of a start. I'm sure there are other good ways to get some of that stuff done, but just creating a good and somewhat tailored vacation plan could save hours/days/months of planning and be worth $200 right there.
