Good morning everyone. AAPL is RED this morning, trading at 118.54 -0.36 (0.30%) at 6:39 but has been rising in premarket this morning. The major indices are RED as well. It's Friday, time for another round of the OE game. This morning's Open Interest is: Strike Calls Puts 110 32,555 18,470 111 22,434 11,908 112 19,576 32,055113 23,390 12,555 114 30,984 12,278 115 50,214 13,785 116 19,368 10,041 117 30,460 5,579 118 28,995 3,363 119 16,578 1,283 120 55,986 2,473 121 14,258 609 Would love to see a $120 pin. Two interesting articles this morning: Tim Worstall at Forbes Apple Is 0.5% Of US GDP, 0.15% Of Global GDP. Sobering. Imagine what the US Economy would be like with 2 or 3 more Apples. Mark Sullivan at Venture Beat News I spotted an Apple Watch on the train this morning, and now I’m a believer. The ground swell of public awareness is starting. April is going to be fun. Have a great day. Let's make money.

Though AAPL is red, there is still a nice divergence from the major indices which are much more red.

AMZN up 36 today. It's amazoning what a little profit will do for some stocks. From the little I read, they put the clamp on spending just so they could show a big profit. The question is, can the big cat change it's spots? If anyone has other thoughts, I'd like to hear them.

The question is, can the big cat change it's spots? If anyone has other thoughts, I'd like to hear them. I believe Amazon is guiding to -$450 million loss this quarter First Quarter 2015 Guidance • Net sales are expected to be between $20.9 billion and $22.9 billion, or to grow between 6% and 16% compared with first quarter 2014. • Operating income (loss) is expected to be between $(450) million and $50 million, compared to $146 million in first quarter 2014. • This guidance includes approximately $450 million for stock-based compensation and amortization of intangible assets, and it assumes, among other things, that no additional business acquisitions, investments, restructurings, or legal settlements are concluded and that there are no further revisions to stock-based compensation estimates. www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1018724/000101872415000004/amzn-20141231xex991.htm

I think I'll form a new club named "BAOS"
Battered AAPL Owners Syndrome
We can all meet Fridays, AAPL pin day, and lament the irrational valuations of Amazon and Google......while we count our holdings in our favorite fruit company.
hmmmm, maybe I should copyright and buy the domain name (damn, baos is already taken by someone).

Big pants advice hehe
Also interesting buzz-type approach for Apple and Apple Watch. Although wearables are kind of hard to disguise.

People keep commenting that "I wouldn't want to buy a new watch every year or two."
The system on chip (SoC) is there for just that reason. Upgrade your watch to the latest processor/memory/etc. w/o replacing it. Would probably be in the $150-200 range.
No one would buy a $5k watch (the gold edition one for example) if it wasn't upgradable. Apple knows this and aren't stupid.

Only reason market doesn't look hideous is V (90 dow points to be positive) and GOOGL and AMZN probably saving us from being down 50 + Nasdaq points and 5 -7 S&P points
This with oil setting up 8 percent today
This is untradeable slop

What about his involvement in GTATQ? His big pants advice to CEO GTATQ? My comments were regarding the operational management to support the delivery of 74.5 million iPhones in a single quarter. Regarding GTATQ, my impression is that they wanted the cachet and possible profits of being an Apple supplier, but were either unaware of or unable to meet the quality/volume demands of being an Apple supplier. As I recall, Steve Jobs was known for remarks sometime viewed as harsh when either companies or individuals failed to meet his expectations. Perhaps I am under informed, and I would welcome any additional information you can offer. Nonetheless, I remain impressed with Mr. Williams's performance in working with some of the largest suppliers in the world, who undoubtedly wield both more power and capability than GTATQ, to support the F1Q15 sales.

What can one say about this fucking casino? AMZN is up 15% from earning a quarterly profit that Apple made in about a day, and we're red.
I just bought the dip.

Well there were a few bright spots.
We took out the ATH. Touched $120 multiple times -- which eases the resistance for the next run.
Glad to hear you bought the dip JD. My stink bid didn't hit.
