Good morning everyone. Welcome to a new week. A very quiet Monday morning. In premarket, AAPL and the major indices are RED. AAPL is trading at $118.17 -0.76 (0.64%) as of 6:46. Not much in the news this morning either. DED has an interesting piece at AppleInsider Apple touts iPad as music creation tool in new ad featuring Elliphant. The article includes an interesting Horace Dediu chart. On a lighter note this morning, AppleInsider provides an updated look at the developing Apple Campus. Have a great day. Let's make money.

Stayed up late to watch the Grammy's and it just makes me sad to see half these people be so popular and wealthy. Some with talent - some with none. And then there is Kanye West and is trashy wife, "Mr. Rude and the Sex-tape Nude" It validates the old addage that "Life is not fair." He really is rude and a legend in his own mind. It's sad when there is no football on on Sundays any longer. Thank goodness I can clear my mind and think of Apple today instead....and what I will do when I win this week's Powerball!

School me as well. Can Apple issue bonds in Europe, use the cash in the US for dividends, stock buybacks, etc. and then pay the bond back with EU cash without repatriating it? Would seem like a huge loophole if they could.

Annie Lennox stole the show.

Speaking of horrendous music chaotic, screeching sounds that would be played were I a prisoner they were tying to break in Gitmo, that new iPad ad with some Swedish singer, Hippo or something, kinda blows. Hopefully the kiddies will like it. Anyway, let's stay green.

Thanks red.
Why did I post this early? Management revs guidance is already below analyst consensus. It took a week. So I decided to look into that in terms of iPhone.

Glad to see Apple continuing to work on embedding TouchID into the screen. This will be a significant benefit - either a much smaller device with the same screen size (top bezel will be reduced accordingly to maintain symmetry) or a larger screen within the same footprint.
The screen size to surface area ratio is one thing where almost all Android phones beat iPhone, and it's because of TouchID. It's a tradeoff I'm happy to make right now, but soon we can have the best of both worlds!

Good to read about all these bond sales. The interest rates are ridiculously low. This will allow Apple to announce a huge update to the shareholder return program in April. Many postivie catalysts ahead.

European soverign bonds aren't exactly safe in this environment. Maybe Tim and the Board thought Apple might be a nice flight to safety opportunity in the EU. Kind of like APPL looks in the US on this otherwise red day.

I was pinged in notifications today that Canaccord Genuity upped AAPL to $145 from $135.
I'm pruning my Apple Tree to harvest some golden-delicious-sized gains. If it goes up from here, I own enough to enjoy the ride.
Cheers to the longs.

Incidentally, there's a great Frontline show on Apple TV about Putin that is must-see TV. This guy is a scary dude, which serves as a reminder for everyone to own some gold.
The Merkel-Obama show was pure theatrics before the next sanctions are levied.

Not a bad day today, relatively speaking. I'd love to crash through that 120 mental barrier, once and for all! According to Mav we are gonna have a P/E of 15 again in April...we know the dividend is going up and the share buyback program getting restoked with Swiss Bonds...so reward us now Wall Street!

Well, 120 is resistance...until it isn't. It's not quite the same forum without iPad.

I wish I knew I mean, I assume iPad DOES, based on those ad credits being applied, but I guess iPad's just moved on. We're forever thankful for the current forum home, though! And of course remember the good times.
