120+ was a good trading setup. Where to near-term, let's see!
Story-wise, JD's bull is causing some concern in the stands. Or is it consternation?

I want an electric car. They perform much better. Better than what, a lawnmower? Prius' are dog slow. Oh! Tesla! Did you know it can't even manage to complete a lap on the Nurburgring. Loved this quote by one who attempted it: “Yes, it was heavy. Yes, it had almost no mechanical grip. And yes, the steering was as numb as my jaw after a trip to the dentist.”
“So what was the lap like from the drivers seat? Um… quiet? Really quiet, actually.”

When does dividend get paid out exactly. Date and time of day?? Tomorrow. 2/12/15. Time of day is likely dependent on your broker.

Yep. Tomorrow's dividend makes today's action interesting and a nice setup. The 'dividend day' upward pressure may yield nice results through tomorrow.
Still concerned about options. There is quite a bulge at $120 for next week's monthlys.

I'm not following. There's no dividend to capture. Market already factored it in. You can't get the divvy unless you held the day _before_ ex-div.

DRIPs and other reinvestment activity tends to put upward pressure on the price.

Anyone planning to attend the shareholder's meeting to ask Tim about the Apple car? The "feel good" quote is Henry Blodget speaking of his intention to get out of AAPL two weeks ago. Good riddance. The legs of Apple's Revenue and Profit appear longer than was calibrated in the stock. For the record, I'm a Bull+ in Apple, Inc. and a Bull in AAPL.

Well, "3-day move" in trader-speak, but yes, AAPL does look undervalued compared to certain of its peers. Maybe even most of them.

Reading the transcript of Tim's remarks at the GS event yesterday, I was interested in this quote:
"The watch knows you’re looking at it, and it comes on. If I’m not looking at it, the watch is off, which can be very important, right?"
Maybe I missed it, but this is the first time I've heard this. Does anyone have more information?

The Moto watch is like this too I think, it just uses a gyroscope to determine the angle at which it is pointed.

On a day of such strong upward movement in AAPL, it's only fitting to spend a few moments of laughing about our favorite guy, Henry Blodget. To make that very easy, some kind person has consolidated many (almost 21/2 pages) of Blodgets mindless "insights", dating back to April 2, 2011, on the iPhone Death Watch page at AAPL Inversors.net. aaplinvestors.net/stats/iphone/iphonedeathwatch/To give a small sampling of what to expect, here's the first (oldest) Blodget quote: “Apple’s iPhone share increased slightly, but is dead in the water and has now fallen way behind Android (in smartphones).” Henry Blodget, Business Insider, 2 April 2011 and here's the most recent two: “My concern is after this (iPhone 6). You can’t see the reason for upgrading. It’s a huge jump in terms of the size. Everybody wants bigger screens and they delivered that. Going forward in smart phones it’s going to be incremental improvements. You can’t make it much thinner and lighter.” Henry Blodget, Yahoo Finance, 26 January 2015 “After this big upgrade cycle runs its course, in other words, I think annual iPhone sales will shrink, especially if Apple persists in charging $800 for its phones while the average price of smartphones plummets worldwide. And I don’t think any other product will ever be nearly as profitable for Apple as the iPhone (which accounts for an estimated 70% of Apple’s profits).” Henry Blodget, Yahoo Finance, 10 September 2014 A cursory review of these insightful comments that he's made over the last couple of years, makes it clear why the actual sales of iPhones fell so short of the analysts expectations at the most recent earnings report. /sarcasm Our poor, misguided Henry has been so wrong for so long regarding AAPL, I can't imagine that any knowledgeable, successful, investor takes him seriously.

So, Mercel, just curious, what got you an 11 bagger? A leap? Shorter term call? Inverted butterfly with a twist? Inquiring minds...

Bryan's sources, huh?
Our old buddies at TMO:
"Apple is going into the car business. According to BusinessInsider, an Apple employee wrote to say that his group was working on something that will, 'give Tesla a run for its money.' My own sources back this up."
Why the heck would Apple try to build its own damn car? As a skunkworks hobbyist lab project, fine, go nuts I guess. As a bet-the-company project...doubt it

'give Tesla a run for its money.' Might be battery tech or mfg as opposed to a car itself.

I bought, a year ago, near the money calls with fresh money, roll out of them 3 months before expiration into mix of leaps and 6 month calls. The conversion of deep ITM calls for replacement with near the money options has put me in a 35% cash position, along with some trimming along the way. I'm trading some delta for security this time around.
