What a narrow trading range for the day -- 70¢. When was the last time AAPL traded in such a tight range?

When it WORKS, it's easy.
If iCahn seems pounding the table on 200+, I don't think we have to worry about AAPL losing his patronage anytime soon. It's a giant holding by anyone's standards, and probably a superfund's too. Which makes the "standing pat" headline I saw sometime in the last week or so pretty silly.

Interesting article. Fascinating they quoted Apple as saying the 18K gold they will be using is twice as hard as regular gold. That means Apple will be using an 18k gold bulk amorphous metal Whooboo - Liquidmetal gold watch!!! Time to increase my LQMT holdings.

So yeah, maybe not the most pressing intraday topic? It would not bother me if financed a HYBRID OR BATTERY POWERED auto plant in China using overseas CASH and have Foxconn operate the plant for .

Honestly, this is the kind of shit that just makes fundamental analysis impossible, absent inside information. All I can hope is that these persistent rumors make the stock pop in anticipation, and then worry about ASP's and margins and battery technology in 5 years when AAPL is $375 and Tim does another split. This is the most specific article yet on this, so we'll see in the morning if the news has any stock pop value. Probably not.

100,000 cars sold in 2021 at $55,000 ASP Useless without GM's. Besides, it will likely be hidden in "other" anyway.

there is way too much smoke behind the apple car story. god help us all I agree, it's starting to look really real with all the stories and documented hiring of car guys. Still don't know how they are going to pull it off and make money at this. Even worse, it makes Sponge look prophetic, which is a scary indicator if there ever were one. It's also getting really hard/impossible for a company as large as Apple to do an event with a "one more thing" with Tim pulling a sheet off a large lump to reveal a car to a shocked audience uttering "OMFG's!" and ohhs and ahhs. Unless it's a flying car.

All Apple's doing is research. Pull the string, see where it leads - there's been plenty of other shelved projects. This board seems to be generally cool with the R&D spend, as am I. As long as it doesn't hurt the bloody ROI.

Everyone knew the phone was coming. How well executed it was came as a complete surprise. Just sayin.
