THE APPLE WATCH IS JONATHAN IVE'S NEWTON. nooooooooooooo! www.fastcodesign.com/3042987/you-guys-realize-the-apple-watch-is-going-to-flop-right"When I look at the Apple Watch, I’m not seeing an empathetic creation for the masses. I’m seeing what the New Yorker’s more than 16,000-word story on Jonathan Ive would only hint at—that Apple may have built out the watch to satisfy the urges of a designer who has become more obsessed with Bentleys and Rolexes than making attractive, functional technology that will actually make life better for the 99%. The Newton, Apple's original, failed tablet, didn't sell because tablet technology wasn't polished, and we didn't have the wireless networking infrastructure to make its experience particularly meaningful. Sound familiar?" This is my fear too. I just do not see a strong reason for the watch as is. Also, AAPL is so heavy on iPhone profits that the stock may not continue to move up.

If you think Apple's first new hardware product category after Steve Job's death is going to be a flop, I politely question if you understand the importance that Apple will have placed on getting this as right as all the other product categories they have launched. iPod, iPhone and iPad. FUD will always be with us when it comes to Apple. It simply needs to be ignored. We can't let it creep into our subconsious to affect our investment decisions. That is what it is created for afterall. I'am with Apple. It will be a blockbuster.

HBO, AAPL supposedly in talks to partner on HBO NOW - "Sources" I'm surprised that this news isn't suddenly lifting the stock, as this is what many of us had been hoping that Apple TV could become. It is probably helped by the net neutrality decision by regulators. Is today Backwards Day?

Bloomberg is reporting that Apple is delaying production of the large screen iPad. Sorry no link at this time.

AND it was posted as a joke: *This app is simulated - not actual UI yetOTOH: I think this would be a great app to hit when everyone around the conference table goes silent.... I am impressed. SOMEONE actually reads my links....

Too bad the market watches CNBC and not this guy. Yes, the Apple Watch will be bigger than people expect, and I'm rarely wrong on product prognostications.

The answer is: the Apple watch, Red's biceps, and mellisa Lee's ego. Carnak says: ( puffs in envelope) " what are three things that turn out to be much bigger than first suspected?"

It's really not a huge deal (the part I know about) for the investment community, but it's very cool (to me) just the same. And of course, completely non-disclosable. I'll come clean after the event.

You could at least tell us if Angela showers with the Watch on. That can't be covered by NDA.

Ok not sure if I was a paranoid schizo before I joined this Board but I had a weird thought: is it possible that Apple knows that no matter how beautiful or technically wonderful their watch is, there will be a peanut gallery ready to go to shoot it down and take the stock with it....and because of that they wedged it in on Monday? Stay with me here.... They (AAPL management) wedged Monday's event in because chances of a sell off are great ... And on Tuesday, they are there to wipe your tears for a huge rebound and a much bigger buy back and dividend than anyone expected.? Have I jumped the shark here?!

Apple hasn't wedged anything...you're overthinking it, Phoebes. And if memory serves, I don't believe Apple uses the shareholder meeting to bump the divvy

Surprised Gruber doesn't know that a senior executive of a corp. doesn't also have to be an officer, subject to SEC rules on compensation disclosure. daringfireball.net
