Monday's "run for the hills" FUD was largely defused yesterday, plus TV bundling rumors, echoed back to me from several unlikely sources. People are *ready* for deconstructed cable, like they were ready for a color computer, a desktop, laptop, digital music player, smart phone, actually useful tablet and actually useful wearable.

Looks like AAPL is itching to break out higher while the market is holding it back.

The rumored list of potential Apple projects keeps growing and is an exciting vision of the future. I don't know if TC planned these leaks to combat the notion that he couldn't innovate, but I suspect that the newfound information about Apple's plans will send AAPL much higher. At least I hope so.

CNBC says Fed removes "patient"

I see AAPL spiking on the Fed news. But what does that mean? So the Fed raises the US interest rate in June. So the USD rises against other world currencies. Does this cause investors to exit the stock market for the bond/treasuries market? What else does it mean?

The interest rate on the credit card will go up in June. PERHAPS will be able to repatriate the money in Ireland at a lower TAX rate. This will happen only AFTER the market crashes.

Apple Watch retail plan....get in line! 9to5mac.com/2015/03/18/apple-watch-retail-plan-15-min-appointments-10-try-on-stations-special-experts-for-edition-sales/"Apple will introduce several major initiatives to ready its retail stores for the Apple Watch’s launch in April, according to sources briefed on the upcoming changes. Starting on April 10th, Apple will allocate 15 minutes per customer for in-store try-on appointments, using 10 try-on stations to manage what’s expected to be a steady flow of customers interested in having hands-on time with the Watch. While customers will not necessarily be required to have an appointment, they will be time-limited and guided during the hands-on experience. Additionally, they will be given the opportunity to place a reservation at the time of try-on for a particular model, and make a follow-up appointment to pick the watch up during the April 24th launch date…" Imagine the pressure to just buy the darn thing......"your clock is running....want to place an order, or come back............................................later"

Thanks for posting this, Red. I am not surprised that there will be a special cadre of employees for servicing customers interested in the Edition. Now the new Android trade-in policy makes even more sense, as it is clearly targeted at those switching in order to get on board with the WATCH.

I think Mrs. Cat should get the special Tom Brady Edition of the Apple Watch. It's softer to the touch and deflates when the digital crown is pushed (I'm still grumpy over that Super Bowl).

According to FireEye researchers, a large number of iOS and Android apps are still vulnerable to the FREAK bug despite patches being released. The report suggests Android has the biggest problem, with over 10 percent of apps open to attack. The researchers scanned almost 11,000 Android apps that have more than a million downloads each and found that over 1000 of them were still vulnerable because they use an Open SSL library to connect to HTTPS servers. They wrote: These 1228 apps have been downloaded over 6.3 billion times. Of these 1228 Android apps, 664 use Android’s bundled OpenSSL library and 564 have their own compiled OpenSSL library. All these OpenSSL versions are vulnerable to FREAK. And when it comes to Apple’s iOS, things certainly don’t look much better. Out of over 14,000 popular iOS apps tested, 5.5 percent of them were connecting to the vulnerable HTTPS servers as well. However, this only applies to older version of the OS. Ju st seven of the vulnerable apps remain unfixed on iOS 8.2.thenextweb.com/insider/2015/03/18/thousands-of-android-and-ios-apps-are-still-vulnerable-to-the-freak-bug/

The huge quantity of negative comments about Apple on all websites makes me wonder if one can get paid for writing such comments or if it is just a matter of social mimetism akin to wall tagging

I thought Apple can enforce security at the app level, since everything is sandboxed anyway?

I asked if Samsung had paid them to write the article. I got a one word reply "Yes".

On the plus side Business Insider closed the comments on the Tim Cook "large numbers is a disease" article from the morons who said "Tim Cook Has Aids" today.
