Morning all ~ here's my two cents for what it's worth but hopefully it's worth at least a small smile: Some of you have been asking if Friday's action has caused any Elliot Wavers to change their opinions. The answer from yesterday evening's posts have been a resounding no and actually it gets better than that! As with analysts and many of you - many of these folks look at different time frames and also interpret different waves. Some are more novice than others. There are a few that are quite excellent - (depth of experience and interpretation of action) - and even as they get pushed by many to attempt to predict they hold steadfast and say they will judge what the chart tells them when they reach each juncture. It truly is an exercise in patience. All this being said - my longer term guru has returned from his vacation and has poured through his charts over the last week and assessed and concluded the following: Over approximately the next six months he is looking at $155 as a very probable case. There is also a $185 case that can be made (ironic that Cantor came up with that number too) which is "possible but not probable" yet. He would prefer we get to $155 and then he can assess what that chart may look like or he may just suggest to GTFO at that point....although he doesn't think so..we'll just have to wait and see what's happening. For now...just a bit of consolidation on the stock as we grind higher. This guy has been so damn spot on - (even iPad thinks he is great!...so there ya go!) - Happy Tuesday and chillax.... To the moon Alice! PS Obviously - an exogenous event (or two) can occur and wreak havoc on markets and AAPL is not immune but this is a good map.

There is also a $185 case that can be made ( ironic that Cantor came up with that number too) which is "possible but not probable" yet. It's a coincidence. It would be ironic if Cantor came up with that number after abandoning EW and saying it was not accurate.

Weekly call walls too low to matter or neodymium magnets.

I must be getting old, because the notion of happy-faced 20-somethings in garish T-shirts trying to sell me an expensive watch seems absurd. Why not dress them all as Steve Jobs clones in black mock-turtlenecks, or at least a simple and distinctive and subdued button-down Oxford shirt uniform?

Thanks as always for your morning posts, Since84. I think he's only been doing them since 2014. I mean, the Web wasn't even a thing in 1984. Maybe there was an AFB on Compuserve or something. Per edict of JD, there will no "keep it up"-type words of encouragement after a period of time he prescribes. So sorry phoebear, no shoutout for your past Intraday morning update contributions. Also, iPad, I totally nominate JD for Mod. #tongueincheekandstuff

So, what, we have a descending channel and an ascending channel. The EW guys say we are heading higher and Some guy on CNBC says we ar heading lower...
When the upper channel and the lower channel meet....the 20 day crosses the 10 day, I think too,...my gut tells me something will happen!
(I'm feeling pretty safe with this prediction).

Inverse head and shoulders. We will resolve to upside. Too much positive stuff on the horizon. IMO.

Things always go sideways especially with the "buy back companies" when the blackout periods start before earnings season because the companies can't be in there buying. Interestingly CNBC just did a piece on this and also because Goldman Sucks evidently had a call about it today suggesting that those companies should be bought on weakness because they tend to do much better once the period is over. They're brilliant, aren't they?!

Never mind
. For example, a company may decide not to trade during a period that extends from 10 days before through two days after any earnings release.

Why not dress them all as Steve Jobs clones in black mock-turtlenecks, or at least a simple and distinctive and subdued button-down Oxford shirt uniform? According to the Gurman article (thanks, artman!): "Apple Store employees will be organized into four zones (Apple Watch & Sport sales, Apple Watch Edition Sales, questions, and try-ons)" Perhaps the Edition sales force will wear something other than T-shirts. I also would not be surprised if there is a separate area for Edition try-ons, at least in some of the stores located in tonier locales. I just find it hard to believe that the fashion execs they hired would sign off on the typical Apple Store experience for the Edition customers, but maybe I am wrong.

Both of these list the next earnings release as April 21; I hadn't seen that before but maybe I missed it. Should create a very positive mood for the WATCH release three days later.
