Good morning everyone. Nice to be back. Have not caught up on anything... other than we're about where we were when I left. AAPL is GREEN in premarket, trading at 125.68 +0.08 (0.06%) as of 6:15AM. Waiting for a catalyst. Fortunately there are a few potentials on the horizon. Meanwhile major US indices are all RED. Guess we won't find one here. In the news FUD: Well we have AP headlining with Apple Watch isn't the only gadget out this week. Guess much hasn't changed. Then we've got Tiernan Ray at Barrons with Apple: BMO Slashes Watch Forecast on Tepid Survey Data. Yeah. Not much has changed. Then at Bloomberg we have Apple Watch Debut Tests Cook’s No-Lines Gadget-Shopping Revamp. How can you lose with an opening line like "Before getting an Apple Watch, you’ll need to figure out how to buy it." Sheesh. Have a great day. Let's make money.

That's exactly where the 700 channels that you never watch bundles happened.

Yes Disney hopes to tie its channels together. Somehow the fact that tying is an antitrust violation... or at least was for Xerox comes to mind.
Hopefully good sense will prevail and it won't be a traditional 700 channel cable bundle. Many would prefer a la carte Some might be happy with much smaller bundles. It's even OK if they offer the big Kahuna as long as that's not the only realistic option.
HBO has certainly demonstrated a willingness to unbundle.

Oh my, seriously? Apple will stumble and fail with that approach. "Yet another bundle", from which people will only watch 2-5 channels. That is not disruptive. Disruptive would be $40/month, pick up to 25 channels from this batch of 700 available, and switch them on or off at the start of each month. Channel provider gets a lock on revenue for that month. Obscure channels get some revenue from their die-hard viewers (instead of being washed into the backwater of a bundle for a pittance - the market decides). Apple gets credit for breaking the mold. "MY TWENTY FIVE" would have me stepping up to Pay it. But not if it is "their 25." Grrrr.

That would certainly seal the deal for me rezonate. Might be a better way to set terms for channel swaps. Locking me into a long term commitment of somebody else's choices is so 1980s Cable Company. Apple's My25(™) with monthly reshuffle would rock.

For pre-orders in the past, they have limited each household (or credit card?) to just two items. Has anything been published about Watch pre-order limit this time? Don't recall seeing anything yet.
Mrs Rez and I will each get one, but I am considering getting a basement model to loan around to a couple friends. This might mean getting creative with orders tomorrow morning if I can't get all three.

I have to laugh when the folks on TV say, " The Watch - you may want one but do you really NEED one?" Seriously? Is there much we really need versus want? Get over it. The point is that first we just want it - like the phone - and eventually we are made to feel we need it. Are they that stupid? Also, I was surprised that a few apps worked without the phone like Passport ( Pay) interesting.

Finally got a chance to use Pay yesterday at a Subway sandwich shop. So easy ..... when this becomes available at more retailers it could prove to be a very good driver for the watch .
I'm really not that surprised with the reporting regarding watch ... it's a fairly new product and people have trouble understanding how it will fit into their lives .. but it will. Once people actually answer a call or text while walking simply by raising their hand and avoid having to pull the phone out of their pocket or purse they will be hooked.
I couldn't be more optimistic ...
Cheers to the longs.

The point is that first we just want it - like the phone - and eventually we are made to feel we need it. Are they that stupid? Also, I was surprised that a few apps worked without the phone like Passport ( Pay) interesting. Exactly! I don't really need most of the crap I have surrounding me. Pack up and sail around the world, it will change your perspective on a lot of things. Including THINGS. If I'm a carpenter, I need a hammer. If I have a nail, I want a hammer - a brick would work but a hammer is better. If I'm an information power broker, I need the Watch. If I'm a regular schlub, I want the Watch - an hourglass would work but a watch is better. That simple. "Offline" apps could indeed be the killer app. Certainly by v3.0 the utility will be obvious, and the hardware/battery will be there. All kinds of talk today about the need to charge overnight, which keeps the watch from being a good sleep monitor. I plan to charge mine during AM and PM desk time (on the wrist during lunch hour). I'm stuck at the desk anyway, four other clocks in my face. When I put the watch back on in the afternoon it'll last through the night until I'm back in the office the next day. No worries.

Tired of sideways. When is this triangle going to narrow enough to explode?

Tired of sideways. When is this triangle going to narrow enough to explode? It's actually expanding This goes nowhere until earnings. I'm anticipating a fake breakdown at this point from prior support. Would be good place to suck in shorts Good luck everyone. Zombie stock continues.

As my daughter looked for the perfect purse for her mother, she kept buying ones for herself. Finally I said, "How can you possibly need 6 purses?" Her response.."Dad, It is not about NEED"

Tired of sideways. When is this triangle going to narrow enough to explode? Would've been a good day to take a run at Butterfly spreads. 126/125/124s were going for about .16 this AM, now at .24. With the tractor pull of the 125 call wall, not a bad bet. I look at it as spending the day at the riverboat casino :-) BTW, check out prices for Watches on Ebay. All the knockoffs for $39 kill me. Welcome back Since84!

As I wrote on an exclusive email chain yesterday: "The other thing that grates are the review comments that "you don't need it." Since when has that ever been a tipping point for things Apple makes? Particularly for an item that has a connection to fashion." I wonder if the media comprehends the depths to the low regard we have for them.

O.k.....who is going to buy the watch within the next two weeks?
I will be buying one (steel) and maybe one other. I expect more family sales in the months ahead.
Rez is in for two. Mercel for one.
Others?
