Note: isn't readable by anyone not on an Apple device.

JD has previously mentioned that the '' Character is not universally available. This is an Apple Board and many (the majority?) do view it through Apple devices.
Must admit, it has been a while since I have used a non Apple device. My presumption is that a consistent substitute replaces the ''. Hence, while not an '' it is likely understood. Is this the case?

I think it will take several months for the relative success or disappointment of the Apple Watch to become apparent; I don't expect a sudden jump in the stock price in the next few days because of the launch. The FUD has been strong.

I agree Firestorm. The incongruence in CNBC Markets headline saying the markets are up because of the launch while Apple is down brothers me.
Then again, trying to understand or make sense of the irrational is fools errand.

FROM
Neil Cybart (SAMMY THE WALRUS) neil.cybart@aboveavalon.com
As of writing, all Apple Watch Sport models are available to ship in June while Watch collection models have a 4-6 week ship time. The Edition says June/July although earlier in the morning, some models had said August. The Apple store iOS app was the way to go, as by the time Apple.com was up and running, nearly every Watch model had said 4-6 weeks. Ultimately, it is difficult to know sales numbers/demand from all of this information since we just don't know what supply is.
I would go out on a limb and say that at least a million were ordered this morning since we are talking about a two month backorder, but it's tough to know. Supply chain rumors have been few and far between with the only one saying the initial wave of supply was 3-6 million units. In the coming days and weeks, I will be on the lookout for any additional signs, but for now, information is tight.

While I'm still worried about the $125 call wall, I jumped back in and repurchased my $130 sale I made several weeks back. Too many catalysts at the moment to ignore. Hope I haven't jumped the gun.

The tractor beam says $125ish. Not sure the Watch open house is a catalyst to close AAPL over $126. Next week are monthlies, although they're a bit aged. I suspect most call options will be crushed today and next week.

I like how the Samsung shill mentions Apple first without even realizing it. Deep down, we all know the truth.

According to this MacRumors story the Edition will be available in 21 stores in the US (out of 265 according to the most current information I could find), but at least 12 of the 19 stores in China will have them. Nuf Ced

Travis McCourt at Raymond James doesn't care much about credibility: Apple Watch ‘More Risk than Reward,’ Says Raymond James at WSJ Money beat. This is after downgrading Apple because Watch won't meet investor expectations while saying it is immaterial to Apple's financial results anyway. Oh, and he raised his Q2 estimate to 2.15 from 2.02. So we had lower numbers on his 'outperform' estimate than we do now with his downgrade. Guess he's enjoying his moment of fame.

Pharrell, Drake, Katy Perry and surely more to come...just think of how many millions have already seen their favourite stars wear an Apple Watch. All for the cost of a few thousand dollars. This is how Beats got so popular despite not being a particularly quality product. Marketing at its best. Now imagine this marketing together with a game changing product. Thank you Jimmy Iovine.

Personally, I'm stunned by the number of responses to Katy's tweet....look at those figures! Holy cow...and they are not all twelve year old girls (I hope)

I was watching a video last night of Ronnie O'Sullivan. For those of you not familiar with him, he's the greatest snooker player of all time. And he would be in the same class as Gretzky, Tom Brady etc... and has millions of followers in the UK and around the world. He was wearing a normal watch when he was playing and it's constantly visible right in front of the cameras. If you're listening Apple send him a Gold Edition right away. Check out how he can play with a normal watch. Fastest Perfect Game Ever
