I don't think spending all day to perfect an informal video (that is going to happen at least once a week) is a good use of Angela's time. I wouldn't read too much into the lack of polish, other than that she has far more important things to do.
Assuming she works 6 days a week and it takes her all day to produce a polished video once a week, we shareholders would be paying her $15,000,000/yr for that task. No thanks.
Also consider the audience she is targeting - retail employees. I doubt any of these retail employees received this much care and attention anywhere else they worked. If I was working retail, the fact that the highest paid person in all of Apple bothered to film a weekly update for me at all would impress me enough, rather than make me critique her every word and gesture.
It wasn't long ago that most of us (myself included at times) were getting fed up with Tim Cook and questioning his suitability as CEO. It's ridiculously early to pass judgement on Angela.

Angela is not a natural on stage, so what else is new? I agree with others who say she was hired for her retail smarts, not her presentations-skill-set. Besides, repetition is often times intended to ensure the audience listens and absorbs the message. My disappointment is more about the lack of content in the video -- there's nothing new of substance here.
Now where is my Apple Watch???

I disagree - she actually had great stage presence over at Burberry. She exuded confidence there. There was no hand wringing or "ums" in her speeches - at least that I saw. I certainly know I have been hard on her but she deserves to be judged for her performance in my opinion. That being said, I am not passing long term judgement on her...yet. We are still in the process of the launch. Let's see what the lady's got.

I do believe I said that it was too early to judge Angela as a VP, and Tim Cook is a good example of why patience is prudent in such evaluations. I don't think Angela owns this roll-out, as it is above her pay grade. But she looked more like a freshman sorority girl Comm major in that video, than a powerful, dynamic executive. Just being honest. And if Steve F-ing Jobs can spend days perfecting his keynote, she can make a 5 minute video that doesn't harm her image. Surely, Apple has capable people to assist her video making. If the Watch sells and Apple beats and AAPL goes to a new ATH, we'll all look silly for worrying soon... BTW, Facebook beat EPS, missed revs. I'll never understand why dopey WS calls that a miss. 1.4B+ users. Anyway, I'm starting to wonder if FB is here to stay, and if that's not necessarily a bad thing, in that it might hurt Google (Zuck says he wants to emphasize search). AMZN is up ~25% this quarter, ripe for some puts? Green days are better than red.

I just received an email from Apple about my Watch order. No change, just that they said they're "working on it" and that it will arrive by April 24 - May 8. I guess April 24 is off the table, why else would Apple send me an email this late only to affirm the original window?
If I'm going to have it by Friday, then I'll need an update tonight or tomorrow.
I sold my AAPL shares today that I bought on margin. I may get a chance to repurchase them if sentiment doesn't overrule open interest, suggesting a close $126 - $127 Friday.

So according to our board certified idiot, something something Obama, virtually all Scientists on earth are wrong about global warming and we should rely on a debunked Quack from Ausrailia who thinks that the air trapped in the ice core samples from Antiartica have nothing to do with the air that was present at the time that snow fell back in the 1800's.
Happy Earth Day. Heaven forbid that we should leave this place a little better than we found it.

Real people of science keep their minds open, and when confronted with new data, welcome the challenge to their hypotheses, and draw conclusions accordingly. On the other hand, religious zealots (and scientists whose funding depends on pre-determined outcomes) shriek, "BURN THE HERETIC!!!!"

I would add that Salby's science has not been debunked only his ability to speak thanks to the scientists and administrators JD describes. But this is the bloody meat topic for another place, another time, another thread and we wouldn't want to get a bunch of panties in a wad would we? I have several thousand pages saved on the topic and I can post them if one cares to follow the scientific discussions on the subject I thought not. In the meantime should I hedge the earnings or let it ride this report??

Happy Earth Day. Heaven forbid that we should leave this place a little better than we found it. Well, a whole bunch of stuff got wrapped up into the paragraph above. I wasn't aware that virtually all scientists on earth agreed on anything. Here's something to consider if you're interested in sleeping better at night (from someone who knows very little about science). Most every story I've read stating expected outcomes of the projected data include a statement that says something like this. If current trends continue... We went from covered wagons to the moon in under a century and the rate of change is increasing so who in the hell thinks current trends will continue? Does anyone really expect the internal combustion engine to last another 50 years? What other kind of presumptions are in the formula used to determine the outcome of these trends? I don't know squat about science nor about global warming but I do know that many things we believe to be true one day are quite often disproven the next so you might want to cut we skeptics some slack. P.S. Presuming that we skeptics wouldn't like to leave the planet better than we found it simply because we're skeptics is a little batshit crazy in it's own right.
