We've had an Apple Watch in the house for two weeks now.
Mine is still marked "processing" a month after I ordered it.
Truly dreadful service from Apple on this launch.

What size? My 38 stainless with black sport band showed up on day one, but the modern buckle version that I ordered for my wife a few weeks later is still processing.

New product, no history and tremendous demand. Delivery date says 5/13 to 5/28 and so I wait. I expect nothing more than what the company promises. Perhaps my opinion changes if I am still waiting next month. I don't think I will sell my stock though if the reason is that demand far exceeds supply.

What was the delivery date promised when you ordered ? If they are not late on that date I don't understand how it could be "Truly dreadful service" ??

What, Fester is out? That is a sign of the apocolypse. The very measured comments by TC on China yesterday deserve FAR more attention than they have received.

It's difficult to create a groundswell in drips and drabs I strongly disagree on the launch. It was definitely screwed up. If TC had a looking glass into the future and saw this I doubt if he would be clapping his hands and clicking his heels - far from it. Personally I think only the fan boys (girls) are the patient ones. The buzz has died down - "what's the point?" Folks are saying, "you can't even buy it!" Haven't you noticed that the ads have virtually stopped. Not a good launch by a long shot. And by the way, WTF is up with the current sales and phone people?! Had a problem with my phone this morning - a glitch (one of many lately) due to updates and I called in to trouble shoot the issue. As I was waiting for my phone to back up which I had forgotten to do prior to calling I started to chat with the woman on the phone and asked if she was getting a watch blah, blah, blah,... Her response: Nope my age group isn't into watches I can tell time with my phone - no interest." I went on to explain to her that the last thing she will do with the watch is look at the time and that it is so much more and how much I lament Apple having called it a watch" - her response: Yeah well I haven't even seen one in person. The lack of interest EXUDED over the phone line. I was so bummed. Hello Angela: do pay checks have a big apple on them? Are you a crappy company or are your employees enthused about your products? What's the deal with the training these days on sales and customer interaction because if your people don't sound like they think the products are even worth looking at themselves then how will that relate to the general public? I know I keep having these experiences lately but this was on the 1-800 number - c'mon! I feel like Pig Pen with the only dark cloud above me when I am interacting with AAPL folks lately. It was NEVER like this prior to the last few months. And no, JD - no email to TC - YET!

Which band did you order? What size? My 38 stainless with black sport band showed up on day one, but the modern buckle version that I ordered for my wife a few weeks later is still processing. 42 black aluminum, black band. (yes like 70% of the population), I know, I know. But they knew the preferences a month ago and could have adjusted production likewise. [have a different take. I ordered within the first 5 minutes we ordered two the sliver aluminum with a blue band and mine, the other has been here for two weeks (or thereabouts). Well as it's the twelfth and it hasn't shipped yet then it's not going to arrive tomorrow. What was the delivery date promised when you ordered ? If they are not late on that date I don't understand how it could be "Truly dreadful service" ?? I am really finding the lack of communication the issue. Some clarity would help. But all we get is "processing" on the order. The point being is that Apple have not executed this as well as they could have and they certainly missed the "earliest" time slot. I think it is the fact that, in this case, Apple over-promised and obviously aren't going to deliver which is a first in my experience as an Apple customer for 35 years.

Haven't you noticed that the ads have virtually stopped. Wouldn't that be a good thing? Usually you crank up advertising when sales are lower than what you can produce, and reduce advertising when you are already selling all you can produce. Of course, I watch almost all television on a delay of a few weeks (DVR), so I am still seeing ads all the time

Well you don't want to advertise and frustrate people even more either. I'm still showing "June" for 42" stainless with white band and 42" space grey alum blk band ...

Phoebes, I has hanging with Kanye and Kim last Sunday, enjoying Kanye's solid gold Apple Watch. He said for you to be patient...it took him three or four days to get his. It has a special mirrored face that reflects back his mug with a little halo that shines around it. So classic! Meanwhile, new iphone rumors. www.macrumors.com/2015/05/12/kgi-iphone-6s-2015-predicitions/The 6s will do well. Lots of 5s folks ready to move to the big screen....Rose Gold?

I want a 6s with rose gold and a sapphire face. I wonder if a large diamond could be used for the camera lens and and if emeralds could provide multi-faceted light from the LEDs? Does Burberry make signature leather iPhone cases? I could afford all this stuff if only AAPL was fairly valued.

What exactly did Apple promise you? I am only asking in case I have missed something. They have given me a delivery date of 5/13 to 5/28. Did they say they would deliver yours before that date and did not? Not trying to change your disappointment only trying to figure out if I should be disappointed as well.

Tomorrow is payday right?
38 to 39% of AAPL is held by individual investors right?
Could be a lot of DRIP investors buying stock, anyone think there will be upward pressure?

Well the 13th was a WAG, wasn't it? And a 2 week window sounds a bit guessy too. Admittedly if I wasn't the only one in the house without one that would be fine. And we're talking about an order that was placed 3-5 minutes after the store opened. Why offer a product for sale if you can't deliver?

I think that Apple effectively missed their original promise of "early 2015" delivery and that this whole launch was an attempt at saving face. I don't think they were ready to ship in quantity in April, but went ahead anyway. In your case, did they actually miss a promised ship date, or are you just referring to this launch that doesn't really seem like a launch?

There is nothing new about that two week window. They have done it for iPhones too around launch time.
And of course it's a WAG. Even with the best analytics you can't predict demand for a brand new product category with a high level of accuracy, when the numbers are in the six, seven or eight figures.

I guess I hadn't realized just how much Apple has been dominating the enterprise mobility space. Recent posts here have pointed out current problems that Apple still needs to work on, but it would seem that they have established a solid foothold, especially in regulated industries.

You crack me up - Kanye and Kim - she's so busy doing her next nude photo shoot instead of being with her child on Mother's Day. Such a wonderful Mommy Dearest that she is. The world is a better place now that that couple has blessed us with their presence. Whenever I hear their names I feel like that old troll doll that you would squeeze its belly button and the eye balls would pop out! aarrggghh!

How can this be? Samsung were predicting 70 million devices sold this year and had pre-filled the channel with 20 million devices according to a 3rd party source. Here's the thing surely someone at Samsung knows how many devices they have shipped and YET they STILL rely or 3rd party estimates. This is especially bad when Apple haters use the 3rd party assumptions to say how badly Apple is doing.

Not meaning to be horrible. But these words may mean something to those of us that remember what Samsung Said on the release of the Galaxy Tab: "The sale of the model appeared to be smooth at first"
