Do you REALLY think that this reflects "big government cloaked policies designed to fleece the taxpayer?" And here I thought that province belonged to the defense department, since you brought up the political angle. If you really want to stop fleecing the taxpayer, cut a bomber program. Glad to hear you are all for handouts to big corporations. You must have stock in Boeing, since IO is known as "Boeing's Bank." Two-thirds of the Bank’s loan guarantees in 2013 backed Boeing sales to rivals of U.S. airlines. #CorporateWelfare This taxpayer-fleecing boondoggle is an anachronism from the Depression era, meant to stimulate trade with the Soviet Union. Why do we need this in the modern era? At a time when Democrats are fighting against their own freaking president on a free trade bill? And the B-52 just turned SIXTY. Yeah, let's cut a bomber program as China builds up its military with all of our money. Genius. Remember, I live in western WA where exports are vital to the economy, and Boeing is the biggest part of that. Perhaps if Bush hadn't wasted trillions if our money in Iraq, we could afford a new bomber. Genius.

EW boys looking for a little pull back to somewhere around the $127-ish area potentially and then back up to about $133.64. Again, as always, not all of them are in agreement. If this is the count, tomorrow should continue downwards.

Of course, Boeing would be fine without the IO, since it has like one competitor. Any reasonable person, regardless of politics, should be for this thing dying. And it is going to die, because elections (occasionally) have consequences, to paraphrase Ms. Pelosi. For those unaware, here's what the IO Bank is really about, As for Iraq, I didn't vote for that war resolution, but Hillary did - and Rand Paul did not.

Back on topic, I was hoping for a TV - and I don't necessarily believe it is dead just because Daisy Duke Wasabi says so. Gene Munster was full of mea culpas today, but the report actually says Apple was working on a TV, but dropped it. As I have long maintained, of course Apple was working on a TV, and almost certainly still has some incarnations of TV in R&D. It would be negligent not to do so. Apple has a million things under development, some of which would probably shock us all. Most will never see the light of day, or any other form than polystyrene foam. As Rezonate mentioned, TV wouldn't be the first time Apple created margins out of a marginless sector by adding value. But, if Tim doesn't see the cash cow in TV, so be it. Apple isn't a pasta company. Frankly, it says a lot more about TV, i.e., that it is dead. I think the future is all of us sitting around the couch, watching stuff on tablets and laptops. Live sporting events are great for big screens, but is that really enough to keep TV alive? As my eyesight fails, I prefer to watch movies and TV shows up close on my laptop, rather than my flat screen TV, which is never on these days. As for Bat Guano, he capitulated a long time ago and became an Apple bull. When your hypothesis is proven wrong, you get a new hypothesis and start over (unless you are a climatologist, which apparently allows moving the goalpost once the ball is kicked, but I digress, and respond to gratuitous trolling in-kind). All is forgiven with Guano in my book. It's the dumb bunnies like Colin Gillis, who will ride their Bear ship down into the abyss before admitting they were wrong who disgust me. That fat, pasty butthead! Anyway, on to cars I guess.

Actually the Export-Import Bank would not be facing this much pressure if they would switch from the accrual accounting method to the fair-value method required of public banks in the US, this would of course lead to greater transparency and create a $2B loss over the next 10 years instead of the claimed $10B surplus under the accrual method of accounting. Just more big government cloaked policies designed to fleece the taxpayer and another way for you to bring up your political views so you can blame someone else for bringing it up. Since this has been in the financial news for awhile I really don't think that it would be the reason for the downturn as the markets usually react to news stories a little quicker than that. Do you REALLY think that this reflects "big government cloaked policies designed to fleece the taxpayer?" And here I thought that province belonged to the defense department, since you brought up the political angle. If you really want to stop fleecing the taxpayer, cut a bomber program. There is something to say about being obvious and consistent.

I stand by what I said about your silly statement, which made no sense whatsoever, except in Rush world.

But your heroes Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio and most of the rest can't bring themselves to fairly state that the Iraq War was a mistake. At least Hillary admits she was mistaken. My favorite political quote of late comes from Carly Fiorina's first husband, as reported in Bloomberg Business Week by a reporter who spoke briefly to the guy about Carly: “You’re wasting your time, and I don’t want you to waste mine. In the clown car that is the Republican Party, she’s the ultimate clown.” I guess he knew his ex and her party very well.

As for Iraq, I didn't vote for that war resolution, but Hillary did - and Rand Paul did not. Ah, Hillary, always the principled profile in courage. I'm sure she'll also run on away from the Clinton record on NAFTA, welfare reform, the Defense Of Marriage Act, Don't Ask, Don't Tell, turning down Bin Laden extradition twice, the reset button with Putin, donations from foreign governments to her slush fund, and of course, last but not least, running guns to ISIS in Libya, all while running a nice, wipeable private e-mail server in her house while a sitting SecState. Oh yeah, she's got the good moral character vote wrapped up! And I can assure you, I wouldn't vote for that RINO Jeb to get out of a burning phone booth. Rubio is still on my shit list for his pro-amnesty pandering. Hmm, an ex-husband trash-talking Carly in public, huh? Sounds like a class act. Should we go interview Clinton ex's as character references? Maybe Kathleen Willey or Juanita Broderick are available. Anyway, fun banter, but let's get back to Apple and not piss everyone off.
