I'm the guy who used 29 posts to state that what was wrong with aapl was lack of a big screen phone (for which I got reamed) and to state that sales of Watch 1.0 were going to be disappointing (same). I'm the guy who used his 30th post to call out as one of the lamest things on the internet, post-count shaming. Call me impressed that you're claiming credit for telling Apple it needed larger iPhones. I'm also flattered that you would come back after a lengthly hiatus to board-cop me on an link to 9 to 5 piece that referenced a positive article by BI. That sounds like an agenda to me. I rarely post but I've been visiting multiple times daily since the old Board, so I feel like part of it, the unfriendliness to newcomers of some of you notwithstanding. And it's my opinion (and I do believe I'm entitled to one) that, as Ted posted earlier in this thread, stuff should be referenced, linked to, etc on per-case / per-author basis rather than blanket condemning certain sources and, more importantly for investment purposes, declaring as FUD virtually everything that's not pro-Apple. I think that unwillingness to consider other perspectives leads to insular thinking / group think. So when I saw the obvious contradiction of referencing the normally condemned BI because it sought your purposes, I noted it. If that's an agenda, then maybe you're correct about that.

Just reference where the link is from and we should be good. I am also a BI hater due to opposition to the page-hit-whore business model in general. I refuse to reward them for publishing lies, deception, and so on. This has nothing to do with not wanting negative views on Apple. But if the protocol of naming the source is followed, then everyone can make up their own mind. Not sure why you thought a lecture was necessary today, when this has been covered many times already.

You're right; I shouldn't have made my last post. The Elastigirl thing has me intrigued.... The Watch is mostly about convenience, in its current configuration. Think about all the things we pay for simple convenience. When the health functions improve -- well beyond fitness and heart rate --this will be much more than an accessory. As much as I liked Dick Tracy, the ONLY time I use my Watch to take a phone call is if I'm in the middle of something or my hands are full. I've lost 6-7 pounds with the Watch as my fitness coach. In fact, I worked out with a pro football team this morning. I was tempted to ask one of the players lifting weights if he was the kicker. I actually use my watch to answer the phone or even make calls pretty often. Anytime my phone is in my pocket I rarely get it out to answer. I think it will be a steady increase as people see how fluid it is once you are accustom to it. I really don't think the sales were disappointing, at least from Apple's viewpoint. I believe they knew that only early adopters and Apple fans would purchase at first and that as the OS progresses those people will upgrade and more people will buy in. More like a hurricane than a tornado.

I really don't see how this relates to tapping an Apple Watch with one's nose.....

and to state that sales of Watch 1.0 were going to be disappointing (same). Well, you must be privy to sales numbers we haven't seen, because Tim Cook said he was happy with Apple Watch sales, that they were going up each month, not down. I'm not sure who is disappointed, other than blindfolded dart throwers with Parkinson's.
