AAPL @ $101.12 in premarket, PED has an article Why Apple is Immuneto China's Gyrations Maybe Apple is, AAPL not so much. It appears the entire market is taking it badly. I don't know what it is though

Bloodbath. Creating some nice dividend opportunities though (provided those divvys don't get cut).

It's very difficult to focus solely on AAPL with the whole market in meltdown mode. Why did we wake up last week and suddenly flip the switch is anyone's guess. Reasons we are here - I'm sure many can list several pros and cons. We can debate this all day long but it is August and desks are light and moves are exacerbated to boot. I called three friends on WS this morning - all are out this week - some out for the next two. Some sites looking at technicals and saying you aren't going to see a rally till September. We are looking at our own catalyst. the 9th, which is also in September. Can August end soon enough?! Jackson Hole is on Thursday. Possible commentary out of that...possible NO commentary - who knows. There are two bright sides this morning: (1) we are going to be able to buy AAPL very cheaply and in much less than 6 mos. from now are going to be very, very happy we did and, (2) These 3 Americans and 1 Brit on the French train have to make you feel so empowered and proud. Good for them! They should be praised - they really saved so many. Would have been unimaginable what tragedies that idiot would have caused!
PS We are in capitulation mode - geez! We are under $100 - this is panic selling for all intents and purposes. Brace yourself Bridget.

Weekly SMA100 is ~100. Weekly SMA200 is ~86. Weekly SMA200 hasn't been crossed since September 2008.
If your timeframe is medium to long, now is a good time to add.

Here's hoping Apple kept all their buyback bucks available for this contingency. With ~ $7.5 billion in buybacks/quarter & $100/share = ~ 75 million shares retired, I can dream can't I.

The market must know differently. Based on what's happened, the market has priced Apple as if it will never sell another iPhone (or any other product) in China.

MY announcement:
BOD has authorized the repurchase of $50 Billion of AAPL shares today at current market prices. We will be repatriating money from Ireland. The BOD believes AAPL is a tremendous value at current market prices.

Got a couple of handfuls at $95 and 94.20. Crazy is right. Assume no growth and look into 2017 with buybacks.

Bought about 40 shares common between our accounts .... people selling this stock here are fucking nuts. I'm happy to take their money ..... when people lament in 3 months selling I'm gonna look them in the eye and tell them they are too fucking stupid to be in the market . I'm pissed.

I don't think the bottom is in yet, but couldn't pass up a dividen @ 2% and climbing.
There is blood in the streets but hasn't made it to the drains yet.

Bought 75 shares (on margin) at the open. Got in at $95.17. Small margin position overall with cash to back it up if needed or if we fall further. This craziness has happened so fast, no time to transfer funds between accounts! Very happy to see TC's email this AM. Not that I needed reassurance, but the confirmation was great to see.

Hope Bezos speaks soon!

Troubling times are created by moronic analysts and people that should never have invested in the stock market and treat it like a freaking slot machine.

Saying he gets daily reports and it is still looking good. What else could you ask for? Also could be his way of saying how ridiculous the selling is and that he will use all the authorized buyback at this level (~$100).

My point was that Apple does not do this type of thing...and to Cramer! Simply an indication of the depth of the mood among the so- called investment Mood shapers. if Apple chooses this path it is worth noting. The Bezos comment was /s as I hope all realized. Green soon....

Congrats to all who bought at the open. Amazing and gutsy call for which you have been rewarded. Well played. And to the folks who called red to green yesterday, also a great call. Nice to see AAPL leading on the way up for a change. I think we should all send Tim a thank you letter.

The Bezos comment was /s as I hope all realized. I think this has to do with apple understanding sentiment is important. Apple is entering its fall season and wants that good hype marketing to support the stock and company. This isn't anything new - think about this - look online and see who is head of their PR. Where did he work before apple? Tim has stated publicly that he watches CNBC every day.
