I honestly can't image how an investor holding AAPL could decide to sell after seeing this event. What more could they have wanted? <dumb> With the introduction of a big screen iPad and a stylus, Apple proved they can't innovate. They were unable to strike deals with content providers to revolutionize TV, and they decided not to release an actual big screen TV, so instead they just released an incremental and expensive update to their expensive set-top box. Because the carriers are no longer subsidizing iPhones, they're going to sell much less so they started a hail mary leasing program that won't take off. And they introduced all their new products in one shot; with no other events this year for Apple, it's clear that they have no hope of comeback on the horizon. </dumb>

I'll tell you this , Apple is taking aim to hit this one out of the park for the holiday season. Christmas this year is going to be absolutely MASSIVE. Christmas every year has been massive since 2007 or 2008.

I am sooooooo glad they kept the iPhone 6 & 6+ at lower price points. Some rumors had indicated these would be dropped/replaced I was worried. Sales of the older model 6+ should do very well. I think the older 6 will be a huge it. Apple alluded to that fact. They know their customers and understand how large the demand is for the bigger screen and yet the sensitivity to price across the globe. The shorter quarter sales will set us up for a big beat in 1st quarter. They will sandbag us like never before. What they can't hide will be the big 1st weekend sales with that extra week in production. I will be placing my order at midnight Friday night. That was an interesting choice of day as well. Now the rumors will start that they don't have enough of the new force touch screens.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the iPad pro design may have been somewhat influenced by IBM (based on their needs, and presumably other similar "pro" needs).

Jobs famously dissed the idea of a stylus device when he introduced the original iPhone in 2007. He told biographer Walter Isaacson, "As soon as you have a stylus, you're dead." Anyone who read Jobs' bios would know that Jobs "famously" changed his mind 180 degrees on ideas overnight, if not quicker. And Jobs was talking about a 3.5" iPhone, not a 13" iPad Pro. USA Today dumb bunnies.
