What's going on with HomeKit? Is it the next Apple "hobby", along with CarPlay and ResearchKit? Does the AppleTV v4 include a Trojan Horse, to eventually be unleashed through software updates across it and iPhone/aWatch? My reading the tea leaves: iPhone is the hook upon which Apple will continue to hang HomeKit. The iPhone is hyper-personal, hyper-mobile, hyper-local, and hyper-connected. It is the equivalent of the Star Trek NG uniform badge, watching where you are at all times, listening for commands, and giving access to physical and informational spaces based on proximity and clearance. We haven't heard anything about iBeacons for a long long time. As they did with Apple Pay, putting compatible hardware into the field for years before launch, is Apple doing it again - this time with a "real world Starship ENTERPRISE" the goal?

Via Gruber at Daring Fireball
2.7X ★ Tareq Ismail:
The difference in screen size from the iPhone 3GS, the standard iPhone available at the time, to the original iPad is a factor of 2.7 times — which turns out to be the exact same factor between the iPhone 6/6s and the iPad Pro.

You can't be a respected member of the Billionaire Club these days without a plan to conquer space.

Nice day, overall. We are climbing toward the 50 day. The Fed will dictate much the next two days. Certainly, the rash of positive reviews and analysis for the new Apple products will build all next week into initial sales and then rollout of tvios, Ipad Pro...and much more.

An interesting piece of analysis by Horace Dediu: "With a modest growth rate leading to a billion active devices in use and a normalized revenue per device of $0.92 you can easily see cash flows equivalent to $1 trillion in present value." www.asymco.com/2015/09/14/apple-assurance/

With VXAPL steadily dropping (was at 65 on Aug.24, 50 on Sept 1, now at 34.25) while AAPL slowly rises, I'm sniffing at the new Jan 2018 LEAPS that came out this week. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Mace? Phoebear? DreamRaj? Nagrani? LoveMyiPad? Bueller? VXAPL Chart
