I am beginning to agree with those who call for substantial dividend increase, as a way to reward those who have stuck with the company through thick and thin during this time of unrest. Dividends go to ANYONE who owns the stock on ex-dividend day, regardless of holding period - could have held it for 17 1/2 hours or for 17 1/2 years and you get the same dividend I like the loyalty bonus awarded by the French cosmetics firm L'Oréal. Shareholders who continuously hold their shares for more than two years receive a preferential dividend of 10%. It rewards long-termism. www.loreal-finance.com/eng/registered-shares-loyalty-bonus

El Capitan works fine for me, esp on my new 5K Mac (with the most beautiful screen evah). Also iOS 9 is fine on my 6. If referring to my post, I clarified that I was referring to the old desktop OS9. Not IOS.

Apple has the tools to reward shareholders if it deems is appropriate or necessary to do so. I used to be in the camp that only wanted a reasonable dividend with an annual increase (basically what we have now) and share buybacks to spread EPS...but neither these nor contining impressive free cash flow has moved the price per share needle. So I wonder if a big bump in the quarterly dividend (up to 3.5% yield for example) and a one time special dividend (with a hint that more such devices might be considered in the future) might be in order. The cash hoarde may be offshore but the company's balance sheet can still be utilized to make something like this happen.
It has to be frustrating to the Apple employees that own stock to see what they know is extraordinary performance go unrewarded by Mr. Market.

I seem to remember rebooting fairly often back in OS 9 (re: I am not talking IOS here). Damn near every day sometimes multiple times per day. I hate to think how many hours I must have spent using Extensions Manager in System 7.5 onward, trying to discover by a process of elimination the reason for the innumerable crashes.

Mace - I see a double bottom setup on Apple.

Mace - I see a double bottom setup on Apple. I hope you're right. This is getting tiring.
