In line at shareholders meeting at 7:00AM. First person in line was here at 5:20AM.
Fox Business is here doing many, many interviews. Something I haven't seen in previous years.

Perhaps worth noting that the FBI is a sub-department of the DOJ.

That's basically a yes without saying yes. Great news.

Additional Mercury News Cartoons. This is certainly keeping the spotlight on Apple.

That's basically a yes without saying yes. Great news. Doesn't really qualify as a yes but it's nice to hear it's exciting. "you weren’t sure what was going to be downstairs?"

I have never been to any shareholders meeting, so I was surprised that the reports mentioned "about 200 shareholders" were in attendance. Given the broad population that holds AAPL and the enthusiasm with which both shareholders and just interested patrons follow the company, I would have expected more.
Can any of you who are investors in other companies, or are just plain more knowledgable about such things, provide any insight or comparison to other companies?

You got me looking online and I found Walmart's 2104 meeting. Doubt if is anything like this. Not sure if the crowd is strictly shareholder and/or employees from all over. news.walmart.com/events/walmart-shareholders-meeting-2014

Chinacat, there were many, many more than 200 at today's meeting. We got there at 7:00 AM, two hours before the meeting was scheduled to start and I was #70 in line (Yes, I had to count_engineering background required it). I talked to the first guy in line and he got there at 5:20 AM this morning. Second and third were 5:30 AM and 5:45 AM. The Apple Town Hall, where the meeting is always held, has a capacity of 301, but of course, that would include Apple's BOD and perhaps a row of senior VP's. There is also a huge overflow area with two large screens and substantial number of chairs set up to accommodate the crowd. If I had to guess, I'd say 700-1000 600-800 shareholders. And BTW, many Apple Watches were in evidence. Front of the line at 7:00 AM
End of the line at 7:01 AM The man who is third from the end in the photo, with the papers between his feet, is #71 in line.

Imagine that, his braggadocio in dealing with the press had to be toned down when on record with Congress. The words slander and libel come to mind. I am too old and tired, this shit just wears my ass out.

Sounds like the reported numbers were just about the Town Hall.

Very sad our government seems bent on abusing Apple. I don't believe in coincidences ... I think the gauntlet has been thrown and the government is going to make them miserable. Let's hope this is resolved sooner rather than later.

I have certainly noticed over the past few months that Capital Market Laboratories is among the most bullish of Apple analysts. Nonetheless, there are some interesting observations about the potential of India for Apple in their latest missive. More than one grain of salt is advised for interested readers, but clearly Tim and Co. have been preparing for this launch for a while, with the old/new 4" phone souped up just enough to meet a price goal for Indian consumers who want that extra bit of quality as well as a bit of cachet.

I've never met a government I like. The problems with all governments are directly related to those sacks of water called humans.
