Was waiting for AAPL to cross $105 before buying more ... about to liquidate all of my TSLA .... it's been a fun ride but I think it's time to get back to a stock with great fundamentals. When comparing our fruit company with almost anything out there it's a no brainer but unfortunately the performance has not been there. Let's hope that the tide is shifting.
BTW, I'm referring to my IRA position ... our main account has and will continue to be 100% AAPL. This stock is so undervalued it's beyond silly.
Cheers to the longs ...

Same. Back in Apple but still holding a sizable piece of TSLA. Feeling good about setup here.

Just waiting for TSLA to go green ... I know it's not down much and I don't really have a ton of it but something in me hates to sell when I see RED !!!!
It seems like it will go green today ...
Cheers ...
Just wanted to add, it wasn't that long ago that Tim and Co put 1 billion to work in Didi . When they did I was wondering "why not Uber?", looks like they made the right call.
Mission Accomplished !!!!! Sold all of my Tesla up $.65 and bought more AAPL!
Good to be back in ... Go AAPL

I HUMBLY disagree with your appraisal. ο£Ώ sales in China are down 33% year over year. Something is wrong in China. Is the Communist Government punishing ο£Ώ for some reason? Are the Communist Government funded smartphone competitors hurting ο£Ώ? Is there a serious recession in China? Why doesn't ο£Ώ have 1000 company stores in China? Are the Communist Government funded smartphone competitors as good or better than the iPhone? It was my understanding that everything was ROSY in China. It was my understanding that the number of middle class and rich folks were skyrocketing in China. something is wrong.

Agreed. The two year cycle makes more sense in countries where subsidies are more common. Also the fact that the national brands are growing the most is a troubling sign. I've been hearing a lot about the increased sense of nationalism in China and it looks like it may be having an effect. The Apple brand perception may be changing from a must have luxury brand to one to avoid at all costs to some. No fault of Apple's but it could be having a serious impact.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I did mention these metrics don't lie, and that all are "destined" to go negative short-term. Where it'll get very interesting is what they all say three years from now. If Apple's going bearish in Greater China now. by the way, all three metrics will say so, and NOT need two years to say so (by my reckoning).
Though, if you don't think iPhone campaigns are a good measuring point, do you have a suggestion as to what timeframe, if any, is?
Note also my "solve for X" section. Apple managed 4.1-ish years of theoretical 15% CAGR growth (as in compound growth) in the span of only two years. Blips of that magnitude make bigger-picture measurements difficult in the short term.

...Also the fact that the national brands are growing the most is a troubling sign. I've been hearing a lot about the increased sense of nationalism in China and it looks like it may be having an effect... Some Chinese considered Apple as a Chinese brand since many Chinese and their relatives work in Apple factories, and because of Apple, China can defend allegations that China's manufactured products are junk, it all about specifications and QC. For example, the narrative is Walmart's specifications are low, and not China doesn't have the manufacturing expertise. So, in many Chinese's heart, Apple is both an American and Chinese company.

mace Thanks for the perspective.
I hadn't looked at AAPL for a few hours and is up $0.75 since.
For the benefit of investors I won't look @ AAPL until after closing.

With my apologies to horses, could this guy be any more of a horse's ass? He DEMANDS? Kanye West Demands Apple Buy Tidal To End 'Beef'
by David Z. Morris These are two of West's tweets shown in the article. The others are just as ridiculous and more profane. * I need Tim Cook Jay Z Dez Jimmy Larry me and Drake Scooter on the phone or in a room this week!!! * Apple give Jay his check for Tidal now and stop trying to act like you Steve. The last two sentences in the article sum the situation up nicely: But what Kanyeβs anxiety unintentionally underscores is that Tidal has little chance of winning that warβthat while artist relationships could help Apple in gaining ground on Spotify, they may not be enough to make Tidal a long-term player.
In short, Tidal probably needs an Apple buyout. But publicly telling Tim Cook to βstop trying to act like you Steve [Jobs]β may not be a great way to speed that process.

IPHONES IN CHINA FROM A May report: A report (link in Chinese) from the China Internet Network Information Center, a branch of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that oversees internet policy, states there were 780 million activated smartphones in China in 2015, a penetration rate of about 59% of the population. Apple iPhones accounted for approximately 16.8% of those smartphones, the report says. That means there are about 131 million iPhone owners in China, assuming every iPhone owner keeps only one activated deviceβmore than any other country in the world. (The US, the worldβs second-largest market, is estimated to have about 100 million iPhone users). qz.com/687017/its-official-china-is-the-largest-iphone-market-in-the-world/

Ehh, I disagree. Tim's heart is in the right place, and there are certainly enough images of guns in our society already - do we really *need* them on the emoji list?... If Apple starts putting the gay pride flag on the backs of iPhones, call me.

It was an insidious approach that eventually ended up in legalizing gay marriage. Thanks Steve.

Let me decide WTF I "need" to send in messages on my own iPhone. It sounds as if you are all for censorship and thought control at Apple, so long as you agree with it.

Yup, guns are an exceptional problem today, and I don't see any reason not to censor their imagery on phones. One instance of censorship in this case does not create a slippery slope to Big Brotherhood. Kids use phones too - we limit imagery, nudity and violence in G rated movies, no? Is that censorship too - or appropriate?
