I use CVS and paying there is a nightmare in general - always lines. And I have YET to see anyone using CVS Pay but a ton of folks including myself requesting AAPL Pay. They just don't give a crap but I am surrounded with them and get prescriptions there. I try not to buy anything else in protest!

Pretty much forced self checkout on everyone and there were constant problems and long lines. All 4 checkout lines at a standstill while one employee cleared all the issues (an ended up ringing up the customer's items for them). Self checkout is a joke overall IMO. If you want me to do the store's job, at least give me a discount in lieu of a paycheck. [/rant]

I avoid merchants who do not accept Pay. A task that is becoming easier and easier.

I see Amit at RBC Capital finally learned how to use a calendar:
"RBC Capital Markets analyst Amit Daryanani bumped his target for Apple stock up from $115 to $117 per share after increasing his estimate for iPhone units in the December quarter. He adjusted his target price because he expects the company to sell more iPhones in the quarter than he was previously expecting.
However, it’s not because he suddenly expects the iPhone 7 to do much better than what most of Wall Street expects. It’s because he has learned that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s first fiscal quarter (the December quarter) has an extra week than usual. He noted that usually Apple’s December quarter has 13 weeks but explains that this year the quarter will have 14 weeks instead."
"Has learned". As if this year's calendar suddenly revealed itself.
The stupid, it hurts.

The stupid, it hurts. As bad as this is, we all know that most analysts and bloggers will STILL ignore it, especially when they compare the following 13 week quarter to the 14 week quarter.

We switched from CVS to Walgreen's a couple of years ago when my wife got fed up with the CVS pharmacy. There are still ocassional pharmacy issues, even with Walgreen's, but they do have Apple Pay.

The Canadian "Shoppers Drug Mart" (PharmaPrix in Quebec) chain (~1,300 stores) accepts Apple Pay.

Aside from the 4 CVS's near me there is one Rite Aid. There are 2 cashiers - one is 105 years old and the other appears to be 110 years old. I can't even begin to explain how slow they move ... tried it twice and gave up.

Ran Apple Pay at Rite Aid yesterday. Many places with "no chip reader" but Apple Pay goes through 5x5. Super convenient. A typical example of Apple solving a problem we didn't know we had. Now I just want the iDishwasher and iShirtPresser.

CVS is the Safeway of drug stores.
They engage in Union Busting, their pay scale is the lowest for their employees, and they treat their workers lousy in general.
This explains a lot.
I started boycotting them years ago.
Just based on that (never even mind the Apple Pay thing, which doesn't surprise me) you'll want to use ANYBODY else.

You got to wonder about Schwab and their normal divvy re-invest schemes or whatever takes them so long to get the shares into the accounts. Divvy is there...Still no new shares. Fidelity had done its job Thursday night.
Sorry about my suggestive negative post this past week. Bad day.
