Perhaps Buffett's reported increase in shares in his position in AAPL is giving it a little boost. I'll take it!

Also worth noting that Michael Burry, who called the housing market collapse, dumped his stake in AAPL and bought GOOGL. It was a tiny position in comparison to Buffett (75,000 shares) but worth noting nonetheless as he is highly respected.

Well I am going on vacation for 2 weeks so I won't be posting much AND not have a lot of chances to look up AAPL. Cheers to the longs.

Price? Look like $107.50 or $104.

I am not a Twitter user, so I would be interested to hear from members who are what their thoughts are about a possible acquisition of Twitter by Apple.

So the question is, which date did Luca use for his forecast? Is this a delay, or did the pundits have it wrong?

I am not a Twitter user, so I would be interested to hear from members who are what their thoughts are about a possible acquisition of Twitter by Apple. I guess it must really be a dull day (hopefully everyone is at the beach!) when I follow up on my own post. As an ignoramus on the subject, it looks to me like there is a huge disconnect between the way that Twitter has woven itself into the fabric of the culture and the company's ability to monetize that fact. To me it seems that it could be a phenomenal conduit for generating even more loyalty to perhaps the best-loved set of platforms on the planet. The precise details of that monetization under corporate finance attribution would seem to have many degrees of freedom under the Apple financial umbrella. Instantly, the job becomes "be as good as you can" instead of "do whatever you have to do to survive." Apple owns mindshare among those who are most willing to spend for platform usage, and this just seems like an easy win without a lot of financial pressure.
