So - heads up - there is a RIDICULOUS rumor - DEFINITELY started by the shorts in the stock who are bending over in pain - that Verizon is saying that the Apple iPhone 7 A10 chipset is incompatible with VZ network. What a crock of shit. God forbid someone crack down on how and where these rumors get started. Would love to see one of these idiot shorts be brought to justice over this nonsense. Unreal. BTFD

So then there should NOT be an issue, correct?! Better not be. My Verizon iPhone7 comes today. Well wouldn't the ones with the Qualcomm chip go toward VZ and Sprint and the Intel ones be funneled toward the other providers? What am I missing? Or is that too simplistic a view?

Or is that too simplistic a view? Yes, from what I read that seems to be correct. We have Verizon for phone, Internet, and TV, so it would be a major pain for us to switch to another carrier. However, I know that there are those that who switch phone companies to get the best rate, and this would clearly be an issue for them. Also, if one signed up for the iPhone Replacement program and wanted to switch carriers, would Apple provide you a new phone if that were required in order to do so? Also unknown, is how this affects customers in other countries. I understand why Apple is loathe to have a single supplier for any of its parts, but they need to provide additional information so that their customers can weigh all factors when evaluating a switch of carriers.

From Apple's website in FAQ section for the iPhone 7
Nearly all iPhone models sold on apple.com are “unlocked” — which means your iPhone isn’t tied to a single carrier. Your iPhone will be locked to your carrier only if you choose carrier financing from AT&T or Sprint.

Seeing reports online of Sierra being out... though I don't see it in the App store.

Thanks, since...
Nor here. I put the day aside to check all my preinstalled stuff and it's getting late here in London for me to do this tonight.
Never mind.
I've got a Safari update and an iMovie update to download...

Reading more and more reports on professional photographers and reviewers raving about the new iPhone dual lens camera. They've done something very complicated and very smart and they meld the data from both lenses to create incredible photos. Apparently the buzz is getting so wild that a lot of people that normally get the smaller phone probably going to be getting the larger one just to get the camera benefits. I bet we see the average selling price and the margins go up. Tiny changes here given the size of the sales numbers can mean huge benefits to the bottom line.
The untouched examples have just blown me away.

OK in relation to Sierra.
Gave up trying to get the App Store to find it. Went to Apple.com and followed the Sierra link. It opened the App Store and started downloading.
27 minutes left.

BTW I am loving the love that the A10 is getting and the fact that every single processor earns Samsung absolutely nothing.
My Partner has the iPhone 7 - I'm waiting for the pixies and elves to supply my 7 Plus... Having to slum it on an iPhone 6 until it arrives

My niece works at an Apple retail store. She said she had heard nothing about concerns with the chips and carriers at all. So far their biggest problem has been supply and ONE customer who kept insisting her phone was hissing although they couldn't hear WTF she was talking about. Other than that it's been smooth sailing....at least in her store.
