Weeeeee! Lift off!! It's like the maket was mesmerised by Samsung, and now the lipstick has rubbed off the 'boring' ol'7 don't look too bad
Early diagnosis, but looks encouraging. Hopefully no hubris from Apple. They need to focus.

ANGELO ZINO's quote: Zino said this could help Apple sell an additional 14 million to 15 million units during the September quarter, which would mean a 7% increase from the analyst’s previous sales forecast. Analysts on average are calling for September-quarter iPhone sales of 60 million, down from 64 million a year ago, according to FactSet. SAMSUNG SOLD 2,500,000 note 7s? How will that turn into 15 million? Who is this Zino fella?

It would make more sense if he meant December quarter.

I long for the days when Apple would host mini-training sessions about applications, such as iBooks Author, Final Cut Pro, and iPhoto. Those little demos taught me a basic workflow, and little tricks that (when used) exposed other elements of the application.
I also miss how they would occasionally do an update about their efforts in a particular market. Sure, they have done health care and fitness quite a bit lately. But they are RIPE for a dedicated update about enterprise. With IBM over a year into a dedicated integration effort, with Deloitte getting on board, with iPad Pro about to hit the mother of all (holiday- and new fiscal year-driven) upgrade cycles, I want to see at least a Tim Cook interview or joint presser about Apple|Enterprise stuff!
(I know Apple, Inc. employees read this board - show us what ya got!!!)

This Samsung issue is REALLY, REALLY awful. It seems that the Chinese government is furious that Samsung had first denied the allegations of exploding phones and then said that the ones in China were made with different parts. The recall happened all around the world and China was one of the last to be allowed to return them. Evidently they have social media accusing Samsung of racism and it's forced Samsung to finally make a public apology. This is far from over. (as per CNBC report)

Been busy all day, volume was 64 million, what the heck just happened? Started out strong then faded.

Green when the broader markets were off >1%. Can't complain too much -- though I did like that high.
