Not a vacuum, I've already acknowledged the potentially huge benefits of a repatriation holiday and lower corporate tax rate. The point is there is a whole bunch of uncertainty right now and it is justified. As an example of the topic getting significantly more complicated- Don't you feel that the increase in the relative low cost of labor as a % contribution to the phone build costs is massively offset at the bottom line from a 20% reduction in corp tax rate? Quick math suggests the savings in what they'd pay the government would massively dwarf the extra labor costs - which may be one way in which trumps "financial plan" may make sense. I could be wrong - I've not sat and crunched figures or anything. I also have not crunched the numbers but I doubt it. Labour will be much more expensive and also much more inefficient. No offence to the North American work ethic but it's on a whole different level in the east. Also, don't forget the massive capital expenditure that will be required to build the facilities. I guess in the future robotics will take the place of manual labour, but we're not there yet.

Didn’t Trump propose a repatriation of US corporate profits by cutting the offshore tax rate to 10% (down from the current top corporate income tax rate of 35%)? That would be a yuge positive for Apple. To be fair, I'm sure our tax-and-spend liberal friends on the board will refuse those ill-gotten gains from Trump, and give back a full 35% tax in checks written to US TREASURY next April 14th.

Remember buy when RSI around 30 and sell when RSI is around 70. It only happens 3-4 times a year. There's clearly something wrong with you Sponge. Why don't you shut your pie hole when it comes to your constant inane predictions.

And no religion either! Tee Hee! So long as that includes Climate Religion, I concur. I was going to make a smartass remark about your worship of the conservative religion, but then I realized that it wasn't appropriate with Trump. He is not a conservative. His plan is to spend enormously on infrastructure, a border wall, the military, and veterans' benefits–all while giving an enormous tax cut. I guess if he can give us the 4-5% growth you promised, then we'll be all right. Otherwise, it's uuuge deficits as far as the eye can see. I'm eager to see the trade war with China; that should make our investments in Apple very interesting.

Anyway, I really don't wish to gloat or rile up those who are hurting right now. I've been on the "losing" side of elections, and I know it can really suck. I shall endeavor to be as gracious as possible (for interested parties, look for my real response in the Dungeon).
