I don't think this chart takes into account the ~ $20 billion Apple has accrued for taxes on overseas profits. Much of that may drop directly to the bottom line.

Guys, an infusion of extra cash doesn't matter if world instability and tension with China craters Apple's sales.

Exactly what I was worried about (one of many issues ) ......
Starting a trade war with China is insane. Hopefully it was just talk to get elected .... seems like everything else was as well.
Going to be interesting when his supporters finally realize they have been conned.
Cheers to the longs ....

Why did AAPL just tank so hard

Watch how fast AAPL tanks if there is even the threat of China going from Apple's #1 or #2 business to insignificant. But the Dow had a huge gain last week, so all is good! Go Trump!

If you trade RSI as an indicator, we are at oversold levels only seen at or near local bottoms. Not to say that it can't get more oversold, but just looking back, this level seems to usually indicate a bounce or reversal.

I hope you're right, but RSI is often meaningless when the move is tied to geopolitical events. The stock could be resetting to a new range based on the latest info.

Did anyone figure out why the drop today? If it is the trade war talk, why did it bring Google down?

A lot of uncertainty right now and tech has been an overvalued sector for a long time. It's not at all clear if the net impact is going to be positive or negative, and that means sell.

What kind of phone does Trump use? Anyone know?
Also, again, why the big drop today? Anyone know?

Did anyone figure out why the drop today? If it is the trade war talk, why did it bring Google down? Google derives very little of its revenue from China. Apple, a lot.

Did anyone figure out why the drop today? If it is the trade war talk, why did it bring Google down? Google derives very little of its revenue from China. Apple, a lot. Exactly. And yet they both fell about the same amount. Perhaps this explains it: Apple, Amazon Sell-off Part of Crowded ‘Megatech’ Trade, Says Morgan Stanley By Tiernan Ray The decline in fortunes since Wednesday’s upset victory in the U.S. presidential election by Donald Trump is just a part of the overall clearing out of a “crowded trade” in large-cap tech, writes Morgan Stanley strategist Adam Parker, along with colleagues, in a note to clients today. Regarding the drop in tech names in the past several sessions, Parker and company note “Apple (AAPL), Alphabet (GOOGL), Microsoft (MSFT), and Amazon (AMZN) are among the 10 worst performing mega-caps relative to what our model would have expected given broader macro moves.” In part, he writes, this reflects that “mega-cap tech stocks where hedge fund clients were broadly overweight appear to have been viewed as ‘safe’ and are being used as a source of funds for the rotation into financials, health care and industrials, where investors were not positioned.”

In mid September when the stock fell to 103 from 109, there was a quick rebound pushing us higher all the way to 116 within a week.
Although the scene today is different with Trump vs. China at the forefront of all AAPL troubles, but at 104 the stock does seem oversold.
Hoping we don't go lower. It would really suck to see 100 again.

I held my dividend in cash and put in a stink bid at $107... which exercised this morning while I was out.
When is a stink bid not a stink bid?

I figure I'll either keep the money or buy the stock in the 70's. Good enough for me. Even if the dividend doesn't increase at all between now and then, that will be >3% yield and I doubt money markets will hit 3% by then.
