OLED only on the huge 5.8" phone is a bad idea I agree with this part of the article: It's not like is some revolutionary technology. Competitors have had it for years. Unlike the dual camera the excuse of space constraints doesn't exist. Why on earth would Apple let their most popular phone become such a markedly inferior device? Pricing aside, some people simply do not want a brick in their pockets. I know Apple price gouging is really nothing new ($200 extra for black MacBook comes to mind) but it seems like they're going overboard lately. If they want to boost margins and have an exclusive they should offer a white ceramic iPhone Edition with a limited run. Plenty of people would love to buy, and the experience wouldn't be compromised for the hundreds of milllions of other consumers. And yes, before anyone points it out I know this is just a rumour, but Kuo has been quite accurate. I hope he's wrong.

A nice strong move today with heavy volume. Bodes well for a rebound that has some legs. I think it can last at least 4-5 days.
RSI below 30 super buy. We touched the 200 on Monday. My low for the quarter was moved lower by 1.80. Instead of complaining I bought more. A very rare buying opportunity. Feels good to be all in.
The Trump market honeymoon should end by Christmas. More opportunities to get back in then.

It is likely a question of how many OLED screens can be produced. If Apple was to move to OLED for all its devices in one step, then they would need at least 100 Million OLED screens in a year. Several issues with that, especially when coupled with quality control, etc.

Several issues with that, especially when coupled with quality control, etc. You could be right, but then they should offer it on all sizes with a $50-100 price premium or something. I understand the trend towards larger phones and as investor it's great that the 7 Plus is so popular, but there is a limit and Apple is approaching it. They have to be very careful not to make their most popular size seem completely inferior.

Can I get a little whee? We are positive for the week. Anybody take advantage of the dip besides 1984, whose stink bid looks not so stinky?
Curious to see how we handle the 10 day SMA, can we hold it and have it be support? It sure ripped though it (which is nice.) Enquiring minds want to know.

AAPL: +2.50% FB: -0.60% GOOG: +0.70% AMZN: +0.07% Good bounce-back day. Looks like the test of the 200 day MA combined with low RSI held up as hoped. I still don't see a strong catalyst for the stock to make another run until earnings.

You wouldn't think that the margins of our new product category, a book, is responsible.

Would be nice to know why the bounce today. You wouldn't think that the margins of our new product category, a book, is responsible. From TARGET Today: "we were encouraged to see a meaningful improvement in sales of Apple products driven by their introduction of several new product innovations." and "As Brian mentioned, the electronics recent product launches helped improve trends in Apple this quarter, however, we continue to see soft trends in mobile phones overall, which is what we've seen in the industry as upgrade cycles are lengthening." and "In electronics this quarter, we're planning for strong demand for Apple new products, given that pre-order volume was three times higher than last year. "seekingalpha.com/article/4024038-targets-tgt-ceo-brian-cornell-q3-2016-results-earnings-call-transcript?part=singlejust an aside: "the margins of our new product category, a book, is responsible"They have been working on that book for 8 years..... IT MIGHT BE BREAK EVEN AT $299 EACH

If so it starts to get interesting, break through or break down. Grab yer popcorn.... (As I've mentioned before, I follow Peter Ghostine on twitter. He's a technician whose thing is predicting price. I'm not a fan of the concept, but I do believe he points out interesting levels. He tends bearish on AAPL a bit, I think his bias shows through his analysis. He's calling to a drop to the 90's on a 5 wave pattern upon hitting 111-112ish. He got that number via a 5 wave/fib methodology, also happens to be near the 50 day. I'd very much like for him to be wrong.)

There are so many variables to consider in these things that we could not even begin to comprehend without going thru the process they go thru - and I'm sure the volume of necessary OLED screens is just the start of a domino effect of considerations. We are very much a humorous peanut gallery when it comes to these types of points.
