Everyone still celebrating the holidays? More like "recovering from"! Got the West Coast branch on a 7 AM flight, and are now in serious physical and emotional recovery mode. Having the 13 and 7 months old grandsons together for the first time made it just about the best Xmas ever. Let me be the first to wish all AFB members a happy and prosperous New Year. Here's hoping for a new ATH for AAPL in 2017!

My new love Enjoying my TSLA purchase as well (sold all of my AAPL and bought TSLA about a month ago) ..... good to see both companies doing well but I'm really thinking TSLA may be a better play from here, it's much risker of course but the potential for huge growth exists. Still have plenty of AAPL in the main trading account . Cheers to the longs .

... focusing on tesla. My new love Also LEAPS or common shares? Yes. 50/50 mix shares and 2018 Jan 200 calls. Tesla just took out 50, 100 and 200 mda. I've become obsessed with this stock like I was with apple and see it as the next big thing. Also lots of juice in weekly and monthly calls to write against my long position to generate nice income

Does Apple really rely on subsidies to be profitable? Apple makes billion in profits without any subsidies on iPhones. Maybe the occasional one-off data center subsidy, but that's hardly required for Apple to make profits. Now tell me how Exxon wouldn't be profitable because it gets an amount equal to a rounding error in its 10K in exploration tax credits. Do you get it now, or should I use less syllables? Math is so hard for some people.

If you think all American companies not being taxed double on their foreign earnings equals a tax credit and climate extortion payments from competitors for a single company's domestic sales, then you are as dumb as you are negative. If you want to be insulting, I can play that.

Don't let your hatred cloud your investment focus my squirrel eating friend The huge fallacy you are engaging in here is quite common (among left-leaning folks, and sometimes even among right-leaning folks) ... there is a very big difference between being permitted to keep more of YOUR OWN HARD-EARNED money ("tax cut") and receiving money earned by someone else! ("subsidy")
