Did you read that Street.com article, since84? Not very worthy, not much there... if Apple doesn't do better, it won't do better...

It should be noted that institutional Ownership has increased in the last 2 months to 60 according CNBC.
This period for Apple stock reminds me of 2001-2005. After the 2001 crash it took 5 years to revisit the 2000 high and really take off in 2006.
I think we could see 160 a year from now if we get the cash back and the iPhone 8 is a big hit. Big boys are anticipating that and slowly accumulating.
Much bigger company so I see slower rise the next 4 years hen in the past.. But once we get the Apple Car in 2021, I expect another big move.

Just wondering why you think Apple will make a car?

First of all there's been enough evidence showing they are working on one. Secondly and most importantly they would like to control the whole complete package. I don't see them doing just software.
It is one of the largest industries they can disturbt and still make serious money with enough volume.

A standalone software system from Apple would be a complete and utter failure. What's the market for it? If Apple is getting into the auto they need to be in hardware as well.

Good to know. At this point of time, I see no reason to sell shares. Chance of trade war is not that high unless you have two lunatics fighting. Is Donald Trump a lunatic? Is Xi Jin Ping a lunatic? If yes to both, then trade war. Otherwise, no.

I may very well just be a sucker for unbridled optimism about AAPL, but what the heck, it's nice to have an antidote for Trip Chowdry and the other naysayers once in a while. The bull case for Apple has approaches for both holders and traders.

Do you consider partnering with another car manufacturer or purchasing a car manufacturer or partnering with DiDi (who may end up purchasing a car manufacturer), Apple doing both hardware and software?

If yes to both, then trade war. Otherwise, no. It's really not that simple. You don't have to be a lunatic to retaliate against a lunatic. And China will most certainly retaliate if provoked. I'm afraid this is a very likely scenario.

Do you consider partnering with another car manufacturer or purchasing a car manufacturer or partnering with DiDi (who may end up purchasing a car manufacturer), Apple doing both hardware and software? If the partnership results in a unique product, then possibly. But if Apple partners with BMW to sell their software system as an add-on option, it's going to be meaningless. People want an innovative Apple branded product they can see and feel. Nobody is going to pay a premium for Apple software alone. With all the work Tesla and Uber (and others) are doing, a pure software product from Apple will be uncompetitive.

From Techpinions today:
"Then he also said, “And if we go to court, the full depth of their plans will be uncovered.” It seems like that was either a threat, saying to Apple, “we will expose your plans in court” or they just have an idea Apple has bigger plans and, some of those broad plans may require help or patents from Qualcomm."
Hmmmm. Seriously Qualcomm? Is Trump in charge of your company now?

My take is once Apple has a reasonable good software product, it would buy a Sports car manufacturer. At this moment, I think there is intense office politics in the project Titan group... so many news out of it or related... hardware guys retrenched, Chris left and the AI professor re-joined Google... probably Apple is still very unsure about the go-to-market strategy.

Are we writing Apple off as far as coming up with something disruptive and all encompassing in the home (specifically entertainment)?
