Isn't there a spring event coming up, or no? If so, around when "should" it be?

Phoebe I've seen speculation in the press, but nothing from Apple.

Phoebe I've seen speculation in the press, but nothing from Apple. Ok - time to ask my niece if Apple has told them they can't have vacation during certain dates - other than the fall. Will get back to all.

Business Insider is back at their FUD articles.
Article title no link to this trash "Apple is on the defensive as it prepares the iPhone for the fight of its life"
Apparently the new Google Glasses, Microsoft's Hololens, and Facebook's Occulus will all be self contained replace the smartphone and we'll all live happily ever after in augmented reality hell.

Benedict Evans:
"So, a while ago I said that seeing Magic Leap was the coolest thing I'd seen since the iPhone.
It's now much cooler than that."
Bloomberg report today: Apple's Next Big Thing: Augmented Reality
"Cook even visited the offices of Magic Leap last summer and displayed interest in the secretive company's AR technology, the people say. Magic Leap declined to comment."

I have major doubts about VR or AR. Any uses I have seen are solutions looking for a problem.
I love the new MacBook Pro, but think the Touch Bar is also a solution looking for a problem.

Have you seen this Hledgard? It's 9 years old but the use case is clearly displayed. I think augmented reality is going to be ever more important as the world continues to grow more complex. The plug in for the brain from The Matrix would be better yet of course. Could have used the Ikea instructions for their new kitchen series this past weekend. . www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9KPJlA5yds&t=59s

Leaked photographs reportedly showing the new form factor of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
Naming the top model 'Plus' sounds kind of familiar...

Munster's augmented reality is the Apple TV set. Munster's augmented reality were his research notes. Otherwise known as fantasy.
