So where will all this repatriated cash go when it finally comes home? Invest in the company? New jobs? Buybacks? Boost/create dividends?

Luca was asked this on the last conference call. He replied: "return it to the shareholders."

Looks like the White House is shying away from their brash BIG BORDER TAX that Trump bleated on about during the campaign, which is good for AAPL. Not that the White House has been successful in getting what they want, mind you...
This looks like healthcare all over again. Republicans can't agree amongst themselves before even worrying about the Democrats. I'll be happy to be wrong on this one....

I'm surprised AAPL is not jumping higher with good news on taxes being made official directly by the president's office.
Business tax to be 15% and repatriation a sure-shot item.

About repatriation tax, Mnuchin said "very competitive" rate, no specific number.
Guess the market will wait to see if this proposal actually becomes a reality or also goes the way of the healthcare reform. At least there's no sell-off (yet).

Looks like the market is reacting like tax reform probably won't actually happen... True. OTOH, it's also not dropping because at least the promise to make the reform happen has been made official.

Also - the North Korea situation continues to brew. I believe China came out and said they consider North Korea a threat as well. This can't end well ... I guess we'll see.

Agree, China's economy is now intertwined globally, as is Russia's. All three, US, China & Russia do not want war - too much wealth to lose. North Korea is run by idiots and is a danger to all three.

Interesting.....Inside This Shocking Apple Inc. iPhone 8 Leak excerpts "The screenshot shows that the phone achieves a single-core score of 4,537 and a multi-core score of 8,975. These scores, if they're legitimate, represent approximately 30.6% and 56.8% increases, respectively, over the A10 chip found inside of the iPhone 7. If the leak from KK Sneak Leaks is legitimate, then Apple will not only have far-and-away the highest-performing smartphone processor core (the processor core inside of the Apple A9 is faster than anything fielded by the Android camp, though), but the company will be able to truthfully claim that the next-generation iPhone offers personal computer class CPU performance. If the A11 leak is legitimate -- and I suspect that it is -- then the A11 should offer better CPU performance than the chip inside of the current top-end 13-inch MacBook Pro." www.foxbusiness.com/markets/2017/04/26/inside-this-shocking-apple-inc-iphone-8-leak.html
