Hey appledoc - what are the charts telling you right now? Anything interesting? Phoebes, I have not followed closely since early 2014. Not enough time to dedicate. Looking back through my old EW posts, I tagged ~830 as my most likely next big target before any kind of big downturn. The other possible target was ~2800, which seemed unlikely back then, but who knows now. Obviously all the short term technicals are uber uber bullish. But with that being said, the chart is starting to look the way it did from late 2011 to 2012, when the curve went hyperparabolic and went outside the long-term trend. I know I caught flak here last week for "bashing" AAPL, but this is a great time to take profits if you haven't already. Even if you're in for the long haul, it doesn't hurt to diversify a little bit here and come back in later. Ask yourself truthfully if you can stomach another 50% haircut the way we all did a few years ago.

Agree with you but still riding this wave a bit with some calls I bought a few weeks ago.

We hit my 154 and change target. Could go sideways from here until after OE. Watching to see how much we give back last week of May.
There are lots of calls at 155.

S&P cannot stay over 2400. Market rally seems to be fading. Maybe AAPL can be the contrarian.

Mr. Kuo is reporting signicant delays to iPhone 8 production which will affect FQ1 2018. Of course, yesterday it was reported that everything was sorted out and production remains on target, so who knows what to believe. This is an important thing to keep an eye on, though. Or maybe this sort of thing doesn't matter as much anymore as investors understand the long term case remains the same.

Spoke to a friend at an investment bank again today. He told me again that institutions have been the buyers of AAPL share. They are underweighted and a few came in to buy. He has not seen (and he can from his vantage point) retail coming in to buy. Don't know what the next few days will bring but I'm just passing it on.

Does retail ever really move the market for a stock like AAPL? I could be wrong but I'd assume the answer is "not bloody likely." In my mind it's always a good sign when institutions start accumulating since they tend to move slowly and deliberately.
