In the CNBC link above with the headline : “Soros dumps Apple ...” we find on reading that Soros “DUMPED” 1700 shares of Apple. A few paragraphs down the same article mentions that Buffet, in the same time period, BOUGHT 3.9 MILLION shares. And the headline is the sale of 1700 shares? Duh fuh?

Notes on Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular (moving up for the original Apple Watch):
Battery life improvement is astounding. I can get through an entire day of passive use (occasionally looking at and messing with it, but no exercise programs) and lose only between 25 and 30%. (No phone calls or direct cellular use, either). So that's best case and it's still pretty great. Never would have happened with the original. Even if I slept with it, I could probably go more than 2 full days and nights without a recharge.
But who cares about recharging at night, I'll do it anyway. This just means it's more useful for sleep monitoring - plenty of battery should be left for that.
It's much faster and more responsive. No complaints. (But even faster would be, of course, better).
Lap swimming with this is fantastic. I'd used the original with a waterproof Catalyst band (swap in/out for each swim) and the Swim.com app, since there was no built-in exercise program for swimming. This "worked" and counted laps, but provided no calories or other advanced stats. With the Series 3, the swimming exercise app automatically detects the type of stroke, counts laps, GPS position, and calories. (Finally getting credit for calories burned). And no more band swapping.
Haven't tried direct use on cellular yet, but don't expect any surprises.
The only issue was, getting cellular activated to begin with. The simple process you go through when setting up the watch didn't work. Multiple calls to AT&T the next morning, a couple of hours messing with it, still didn't solve anything, after repeated attempts, unpairing/repairing of the phone, erase all network settings, etc. Eventually it activated later in the day, I have no idea why. I "could" be that AT&T is weak in my home and that it simply didn't want to activate because the watch wasn't appearing on the AT&T network at one location, then perhaps there was enough signal strength when I moved it to a different room. Would have been nice if someone could have mentioned this as a potential issue, if it was the case.
I'm perfectly happy to have spent a few bucks of my Apple gains to upgrade. :-)

Always important to be aware how things are being portrayed.

The exhaustion gap has been filled. From here on it's FUD vs Truth. Hoping the best man wins

Rakers started his price target for Apple shares at $195, representing 14 percent upside from Tuesday's close. "While we applaud Apple's execution and continual ecosystem buildout, the inevitable shift to what's next should once again surface post the iPhone 8/X cycle," he wrote. "We expect some investors to continually question Apple's rate of innovation (focus on Apple's significant R&D investments) for the iPhone as competitors offer similar features and cheaper smartphones." -— Not a bad target for such a negative analysis, but it seems a bit early for the “yeah, but what’s next?” plaint. Anyone who doesn’t see the X as the beginning of a new design cycle hasn’t been paying attention.

I’m glad to see shipping times stuck at 3-4 weeks for the time being. Having supply/demand imbalance going into FQ2 will bode well for the stock, I think. FQ2 should be a bigger beat than FQ1, probably the biggest of the year.

My favorite FUD is when Apples success is used against them. We should see articles bemoaning the "tough compare" in 2019 soon. I mean really, whoever came up with that one is pretty creative. Pitiful, but creative.

FQ2 should be a bigger beat than FQ1, probably the biggest of the year. And just as I say that, shipping times have dropped to 2-3 weeks. Either demand is not as rampant as many expected, or FQ1 is going to be a MASSIVE beat.
