Good morning. Pre-market is green at +$2.04 at the moment. How will this day unfold?

Some iPad Air quick impressions, after coming from about a four year old iPad Pro.
1. The level of refinement that Apple keeps pushing forward shows.
2. The new TouchId sensor works really well. In spite of it only sensing a slice of your finger
3. I will use the Pencil much more now. The old charging was so inconvenient, that I had to consciously go get it. Having it attach to the side magnetically is a huge change.
4. Performance is snappier. No surprise there.
5. Really like the square edges that were stolen from the Pro design.
6. Really appreciate the smaller bezel, and extra screen real estate.
Bottom line - great job Apple. There is no serious competition from the Android world.

I’ve gotta commend this board for the great job you all have done keeping politics out of the daily thread. It became unbearable for a while, and made me lose most of my interest in the board.
When I check in from time to time, even at moments I would have expected your prior fighting, it’s been surprisingly civil.
Kudos to all.

I see that my iPad review has been noted by the market and the price is up nicely. You can thank me later

This makes a lot of sense. Most of the "bang for the buck" benefits will be regarding battery life or perceived battery life. And, of course, there's always the cost benefit, I'm pretty sure the Axx will cost Apple less than the Intel i9-whatever processor does. Perhaps obviously, later, for full compatibility, they will likely switch over the entire Mac family. There's yet another big benefit for Apple once they switch over everything. The development costs of the next generations of Axx will be spread across more products, and more of total revenue, which will make the net cost per unit (per processor) lower.

I assume that Motley Fool is issuing one its daily rare "all in" predictions.

I assume that Motley Fool is issuing one its daily rare "all in" predictions. LOL! I think they were over a decade behind me in finally recommending AAPL. There was just no respect there for a long time. But most of us have history on our sides, with the ability to pose for the "Investor who bought AAPL at $1.54 says this" ads. BTW, we do have an iPhone 5C in our fleet, passed to us from my dad. We haven't done much with it yet, but it worked well for him. It seems capable enough, though I think was dropped from the previous iOS (13?) whereas the similar 5S's we have were still able to be updated. We're slow to want our kids having cell phones, but the kids sometimes use it as an iPod. My 5S finally got dropped enough by the kids that the screen started to come apart, but we'll probably have the 8+ ready for deployment by the time we decide they need cells. OTOH, ski season is coming, and it could make contacting them easier.
