But only 30 iPads, one for each team. When I saw your link I was hoping for a little bump up in volume as they put one in each seat.

Speaking of iPads...many articles, such as Apple 2020 iPad Air 4 review: More pro than not, mention “similar squared-off design, helping to modernize the design.” Yet, when I look at accompanying picture, both the casing and the screen have rounded corners. My Air 3 screen has actual 90 degree corners. What am I missing?

The new iPad Air has square edges like the iPhone 12. Older iPads (other than the Pro) have rounded edges like the iPhone 11.

In PED’s Benedict Evans: Does Apple have market dominance?, Benedict Evans is quoted as saying “Piper Sandler’s survey of US teenagers reports that over 80% of them have an iPhone.”. Can that really be true? I would not have guessed that 80% have a mobile phone. Perhaps he meant that 80% of those who have mobile phones have an iPhone, but even that would be astounding IMHO. PED, if you are monitoring the forum today, please comment.

Ah, thanks. “Edges” is a much better description than corners, but every story I’ve seen says corners.

I assure you that "US teens" is not the relevant market for antitrust scrutiny. Evans just loves the Euroweenie regulatory regime. It's just a totally different mindset over there. Subject vs citizen. Evans' article about antitrust is just jibber jabber (I am on his email list). For the record, half of an installed base has never been held to be a dominant share AFAIK. It's typically 70-80-90% of the market (which means sales, not already sold, i.e. installed base).

Thanks, JD, but my question was not about antitrust. It was about the percentage of teens who have mobile phones, and in particular the most expensive mobile phones.

Motley Fool, appropriately enough, has Is Apple Stock on the Verge of Collapse?. I am sure that most AFB’ers have seen Rod Hall at the bottom of PED’s list of AAPL price targets for the past couple of years. While I have some sympathy for his view that the 5G “revolution” may not take off as quickly as some are predicting, I believe that he over estimates its effect on Apple/AAPL.
