I sold some $127 covered calls after the big jump on Tuesday. This small position has been underwater all week but just today turned green. Short term options are wild.

Not making any predictions here, but the $125 calls are huge by current standards.

I know they don't update the 5S to the latest and greatest iOS version with all the new features (mostly because the 5S hardware isn't powerful enough), but I *did* receive a software update to my 5S earlier this week with some sort of security improvement I think. My main phone is an 8+ because I like the touch ID more than the face ID, but I have various other iPhones around to play with (the aforementioned 5S, a few 6 and 6s models, my previous 7+, and a new 2020 SE). And I still have many iPod touch devices, iPhone 4 variants, etc that don't operate anymore. And I also have an assortment of Androids. The 5S only operates while plugged in, the battery is only strong enough for swapping power cords briefly. Oh, and those are just "my" phones. We have *many* other devices here, two X models and one Xs model (for my older kids ... they like face ID), another 2020 SE (my wife). And soon I need 1 or 2 more phones for my younger set of kids.

We have *many* other devices here, a two X and one Xs model (for my older kids ... they like face ID), another 2020 SE (my wife). And soon I need 1 or 2 more phones for my younger set of kids. Wow, and here I was lamenting keeping enough of our old junk charged. The kids do use the older iPhones as iPods (5S's, 5C, and sometimes even Grandpa's 4S), but it doesn't take too many days of non-use to have them be dead. FWIW, I replaced the battery on my 5S a couple years ago, as it really wasn't liking cold temps and those "cold temps" crept higher so that even though the battery could still last hours, it died nearly instantly being taken out of a pocket on a 50 degree day. Hard to take a couple of pictures even at spring skiing temps. Anyways, it was under $20 via Amazon, including some tools. As long as you, or someone you know, are ok with taking out small screws. But, like the 3000gt I still wish I wrenched into to replace the head gasket, if the value is really low then even if you accidentally rip a cable it's not the end of the world. Wow, I still have the box. I used one by Janbotek, but any with some tools and good ratings should be fine....and it looks like they don't have the 5S version on Amazon anymore. But the battery is pretty easy to replace, with a few less tiny connectors and such than getting to the screen (which then normally includes disconnecting things like the cameras and button/touch sensor). There's still good functional uses out there. Looks like I need to get a new screen for at least one of our 5S's and get it going again.

Wow, scary. Marxism and Socialism were in the top 10, above Roth IRA. God help this country.
Honestly I think we might need a divorce for the benefit of the kids.

How horrible! Cuba has a 99% literacy rate, higher than the USA, free health care and education. China has free healthcare for 1.3 billion, Libya had free health care for its people and was on the verge of passing a 20,000 a year annual dividend for all from Oil and water, 2 assets they have in abundance, before the Neo cons and HRC killed him and destroyed the state. Better to have a society where 1 Bezos could lose half his wealth and be the richest man outside the middle east.

Not making any predictions here, but the $125 calls are huge by current standards. Call me a doubter. It's only $5M variance for a 50 cent move. The equivalent of 40k shares. But, it's moving, and sometimes does. OTOH, it's a $2.34 dip so far. Is that actionable, or playable? If I was already planning on buying more, or planning on buying some bullish calls, then sure. But it's not really enough to really make me change plans. We'll see. It's only a regular volume day so far. I guess I could pick up a little bit in the last few minutes to offset the ones I'm donating, especially if the dip does bring it close to $125.

Honestly I think we might need a divorce for the benefit of the kids. Marxism and Socialism were in the top ten because of relentless GOP propaganda, which greatly increased all kinds of usage for those terms..

Went for it, but I was too late. I had a tiny bit of cash sitting idle in the Roth, so was going to pick up 56 shares at $126.61. But while it was below that with a few minutes to go, it didn't quite fill. But look at that volume! It was looking to only be average, but the last bit kicked it up to nearly 50% above average. For those that just got some snow to deal with, I'm thinking of you while doing some maintenance on 2 of our blowers. We got 6-12" too, but are going to have some dry and even warmish weather until after xmas. Have a great weekend everyone!
