It looks like there will be no “sell in May and go away” move this year, Apple deserves a bump up imo.

Huge number of call contracts are going to expire worthless this week. 140, 145, 150, maybe 135 if we stay where we are now. If MMs are holding long stock to cover their short positions on these, there will be a big surplus of AAPL stock on their sheets by the weekend. They will have to decide whether to stay in or sell; if sell there could be a lot of downward pressure on the share price.

It looks like there will be no “sell in May and go away” move this year, Apple deserves a bump up imo. Today’s trading action is not particularly bullish. Bounce was sold. It’s nice that it’s slightly outperforming SPY. But until it manages to get above 135.50 nothing has changed.

As a lawyer friend of mine said when I complained about getting screwed by the legal system, justice is done 50% of the time. It is a crap shoot. The game company is like an NFL player dancing, just building their brand at Apple's expense. And if the gambit works and they destroy the app store they become famous for that.
