Feels like another week of waiting for the market to recognize Apple's success. In the words of MLK, "How long, Oh Lord, How long?" I mean, seriously...two blowout quarters, no serious headwinds, a wider moat with M1, and AR/VR, and an Apple car in the works. What does it take? (Hold on Bud, look at it this way, If you are right, this is a buying opportunity) and (Pssssst, Mortgage rates are at 2%)

( Hold on Bud, look at it this way, If you are right, this is a buying opportunity) and ( Pssssst, Mortgage rates are at 2%) Sometimes excitement leading up to and around WWDC is enough to give the stock a little boost. Even if regrouping for a bit, I'd feel better about it if AAPL was in the 130-135 range. We're only 5 points out of the range, so it's not like it's a big difference especially when looking at it with a long term perspective, but it still bugs. OTOH, look at Lucky's graph in the weekend thread, for a reminder that on the 5-7 year chart, AAPL is doing pretty good. Up just over 300%!!! (Always leave it to taxes to throw a wrench at you. We have the pleasure of alternate minimum taxes this year since I taxed out a small chunk of shares. Luckily it doesn't change LTCG rates, even if it mutes some deductions, but it does give a combined 46% rate on a small chunk of self-employment income. Blah! Relatively, it's small. But 41-46% on anything makes you consider if it's worth it, especially if you still have crappy self-paid health insurance unlike some of the countries that have very high tax rates)

A blogger named Robert Scoble says The New 3D Apple Arriving at WWDC. If anyone can pull off this transition, it should be Apple. There is one item on the list that concerns me: “New 3D experiences for inside cars.”

There is one item on the list that concerns me: “New 3D experiences for inside cars.” I am concerned about a 3D Map of the entire world. Back in the 1800s the British, at the height of their power, attempted to make a full-scale paper map of the world. I have heard that pieces of it can still be found fluttering in the Gobi Desert. Probably not true.

Options on the tech stocks look like they have decreased in price both near term and long term. Anyone else notice?

I am not quite getting lossless, being a regular AirPod user. None of these devices will support lossless. I wonder what they expect the mass market to listen to lossless on?

Nice that AAPL came back a little in the last 20 minutes. Not green, but less red.
Low volume though. The price on the only 2 options I am slightly familiar with, Jan '22 135's and Sep '22 250's, doesn't look too different, but maybe the 135's have dropped from 10 to 8 in the last week.
RSI is just below 45, so there's room to run even if there isn't momentum yet. You clear the track before a race, whether it's the 100 or the 3200.

Close rally usually signals the end of the downturn!

From what I read Airpods Pro and Max support the new Lossless format,<ed. ok maybe not?> but you will need an external DAC for the "High-Res Lossless" (24 bit at 192 kHz). All M1 Macs apparently also support Lossless and spatial audio.

So with all the Rumors of 🍏about to introduce "Loseless Quality" to Apple Music, it turns out none of the current AirPods,Homepods or Headphones can support that level of quality. Makes me wonder wether we will soon see some Loseless Audio capable Devices to the Lineup.

Spatial audio, is what I am most interested in. Not much content so far, but the experience is awesome on the AirPod Max’s. More from the Verge
