Apple Investor News, "always updating news stream”. Oh no, The Street has New Street Research analyst Pierre Ferragu slashed his price target on Apple by 28%, to $90 a share, and lowered his rating to "sell", from "neutral"...That is a buy signal for sure!

If his thesis about a 20% decline in iPhone sales is true, it means that 2022 should have some easy comparisons, thus the stock should benefit. If his thesis is wrong and the 12S repeats the success of the 6S, the stock should benefit. Idiots. This seems like somone trying to get noticed. As Lily Tomlin said, "No matter how cynical I try to be, I just can't keep up"

Always interesting to hear from some of the long time players, even if their talk is biased: finance.yahoo.com/news/must-be-a-professional-investor-to-do-well-picking-stocks-bruce-greenwald-141557388.htmlAt the same time, it's a bit talking themselves up, that only "professional investors" can do it well. But the "doing great in one area doesn't mean you will do great in another" is a good sentiment to remember. I know I get into the same thing but on the risk side, trying to remind people to not take on too much risk....like I did at times. OTOH, to get here, both financially but also on the feeling I understand the market and it's risks, it took taking those risks and even getting tossed about at times. Like understanding the power of the ocean waves, and respecting them. AAPL sure is extending this base. Sometimes things take a while.

As Lily Tomlin said, "No matter how cynical I try to be, I just can't keep up" Put in a couple outlier predictions, especially on popular stocks. If one pans out, suddenly you are that person who predicted the fall. There's a reason I'd rather have these analysts have some skin in the game. If they really expect a decline, then they should short it, and have their personal investment increase or decline due to it. That would level things a bit.

Certainly, patience is the name of the game now with Apple, but I cannot help remembering an old Gary Larsen Farside cartoon with two buzzards sitting on a tree in the desert. One says "Screw this, I'm gonna go kill something"

Welcome back to S&P all-time highs. Nasdaq about 2% below its all time high. AAPL 11% below.

Hopefully the downgrade is just the analyst getting impatient. Could be bad if more downgrades come in but I can’t see that happening so bought some more at this Friday sale!

This is the first time we've had 5 down weeks in a row since November 2018.
